Great location. We stayed on the top floor towards the front (unit 7) and can’t even list everything you can see from the windows. Street parking was easy to find, and the onsite restaurant was terrific, including a vegetarian meal that was super special. Walked to Charles bridge to watch the sunrise, gorgeous.

This property is wonderful! Very clean and spacious, and also beautifully decorated. It’s also close to all the main sightseeing experiences, plus it has an amazing restaurant within the building that serves delicious food at very reasonable prices. In terms of checking in, Eva my contact there was extremely helpful beforehand helping us to arrange parking for our time there. All in all this place has a great score on all its platforms for good reasons! I almost want to keep it a secret!! We had a party of 5 people and they all loved this place!!

Hidden Gem!
This was probably the most enjoyable place we stayed during our trip to Germany and ended it in Prague. A large apartment rental with 2 BRs, right down the hill from the Prague Castle. Walk out from the hotel and you're in front of St. Nicholas Church, and in the middle of dining and shopping. About a quarter mile from the Charles Bridge and into the city center. Tons of things to see and do. We only had a couple days but could easily spend a week exploring. Would highly recommend Residence U Mecanase! They only have a few rooms, but get one if you can.

Great hospitality
The hotel was very accommodating about me checking in late and helping me get what I need to get to my room. Very detailed instructions and the rooms were equipped with everything we needed. The view was gorgeous and being in the city was so close to everything. The building itself has so much history and i was very happy to stay there. I’ll make sure I stay there again when I come back.

Gorgeous apartments- perfect location.
Beautiful property. All other stays in our 5 week journey were not even close. You will be surprised when you walk in to your apartment on how lovely it is. We had the two bedroom apartment. Location is also perfect and it has AC. Highly recommend.

Perfect place for our group of 4 for the final two nights in Prague. The apartment was beautiful, the painted ceilings are stunning. Great space to spread out, huge bedrooms and common spaces, bathrooms are modern and clean, as is the kitchen. The location could not be more convenient for all that Prague has to offer. The residence managers and as well as the restaurant staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. We could not recommend U Macenase more! You will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

This is an historically old building with several variable units available. Unit 8, to which we were assigned, is on the top floor, 85 steps up and there is no lift. We dragged our luggage up the stairs and found a small but clean and adequately furnished living area. But the sleeping area is up another set of stairs that are very treacherous. It is not possible to put your whole foot on one step and the handrails end before getting to the top of the stairs. The bedroom is a small A-frame and it’s not possible to stand upright except in the very center of the room. The bed itself was comfortable but I literally had to crawl into it. There was good air conditioning and a skylight that showed the dome of the church next door. I specifically requested a washer and dryer, but was told there was not one in unit 8. On the second day I developed a knee injury and was not able to climb stairs so we checked out early, only spending one night there. There was a single fold out bed on the main floor but didn’t use it. Opening it eliminates about half of the available floor space in the main apartment.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment for three nights in July and had a wonderful stay. You may think that the staff would recommend the restaurant due to obligation, but it was excellent as well - both food and service. Staff arranged train transportation for us and the excellent basket-delivered breakfast and accommodated all requests. Stairs may be a problem for guests with limited mobility, but we look forward to visiting again when we are fortunate enough to return to beautiful and enchanting Prague!

Loved this property! Three bedroom unit with washer, air conditioning in each bedroom, 2 1/2 baths. There isn't an elevator, but it is safe, comfortable, clean, and the staff is lovely. Easy walk to Charles Bridge and old town or up to the Castle. Cost was comparable to booking two normal hotel rooms at another location. So glad we chose this location.

Our stay here was outstanding. The property bridges the best of worlds in the space and attributes of a vacation rental and the amenities of a hotel with onsite staff, restaurant, and other conveniences. The property strikes a wonderful balance of historical character and modern conveniences. A few aspects that stick out: cleanliness, location, space, quietness, caring staff. Throughout our stay (20 Dec- 26 Dec) we were impressed with the kindness of the staff and the perfect location. From our time there, we feel you would be hard pressed to strike the balance this property offers. As we were checking out we were gifted homemade gingerbread cookies from Eva and Eliska. A touching gift in keeping with our overall stay. Thank you for making our time in Prague special Residence U Mecenase!

The Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful upon initial check in. The staff provided locations for food and entertainment during the time spent in Prague. The location of the Hotel is conveniently located near major attractions as well as not too close to busy tourist areas to where your stay was overcrowded. Recommend reserving a parking spot with the Hotel staff ahead of check in to allow yourself to have a parking spot in front of the Hotel. The room inside the Hotel was clean, fully stocked with kitchen essentials, and very spacious. The Hotel has a restaurant right underneath and the food is very delicious. Also recommend placing a reservation for the restaurant in case it’s busy the day you wish to eat.

This is an amazing apartment with a friendly and helpful property manager. The building is of historic significance, dating back to at least 1600 (gothic basements earlier). IT has been meticulously updated and renovated to keep original woodwork and ceilings, retains flooring but has modern updates. As a group of 5, we were so comfortable in a 3 bed/3 bath unit with full kitchen that we really wished we could stay longer. Location is excellent as well!
