The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good. The only issues I had was the room was extremely warm and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat so we ended up opening the window a few times to regulate the temperature. Also, the shower could use some updating. The shower head is not adjustable and the drain didn’t have a cover on it. The shower head was right over the drain making it very difficult to stand underneath it without getting your foot caught in the drain. However, the room was clean and the breakfast choices were nice. The location of the hotel was convenient to downtown. Would absolutely stay here again.

We booked a suite at the hotel and were really pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room- almost like a small flat. Everything was clean and breakfast was ok. The only thing we struggled with- and this isn’t the hotel’s fault really- is the noise from upstairs rooms. We were on floor 1 and the noise of people walking around upstairs sounded like banging down through the walls and was so loud I could literally hear it and feel it vibrating despite having loud white noise playing on in-ear headphones all night. Probably just the construction of the building, and to be fair it was really our only complaint. Otherwise happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.

We had an awesome stay here. Our room was clean, had plenty of natural light and it was very spacious. The staff were friendly and the housekeeping staff kept our room spotless.The hotel is in a lively neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants, food markets and bars. It was a 30 minute walk to the Old Town Square so it was far enough away from the craziness that can sometimes happen there. 3 minute walk to a tram stop (routes 6, 11, 23 and 96) and a 10 minute walk to 2 metro stations (Red and Green lines). It also comes with an excellent breakfast. A large selection including fruit, yogurt, eggs, porridge, sausage, bread/buns, pastries, coffee/tea/juice. And the price was very reasonable. Definitely excellent value for money. If we ever get back to Prague, this is where we will stay!

We had a wonderful stay ,even though the rain was terrible !!!! the hotel suite was lovely and the maids gave it a lovely look every day ,reception were helpful with transfers,taking all the stress out of it both ways ,lovely area ,breakfast was different every day not great amounts available but more than enough choice ,one thing i think was perplexing for the suite ,was cooking appliance not that we intended to cook ,but no plates utensils or pans to do so ,also complimentarty kettle and refreshed tea and coffee each day was also a nictouch ,would return again and also to 406 as was nice to be able to have windows open ,also aircon was available and a safe aswell ,all round a lovely hotel and staff in lovely rainy prague !!!!!!

Old basic furnishings in our room but clean. Before we arrived i emailed the hotel and requested a room with single beds, a shower and if bathrobes and an iron could be placed in our room as we had a late check in. The response was prompt and we were given a ground floor room with all our requests met. Although ground floor we could not hear any outside noise. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast, although simple was adequate, bread (toaster supplied) vegan butter and normal butter, different types of milks, including soya, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, various pastries, bacon (fatty) sausage(not english) cereals, cheese etc. The room was serviced every day, toiletries are supplied, soap, shampoo seperate conditioner, body lotion, shower cap, kettle with supplies(not replenished) safe, no extra charge, tv, phone, fridge, not many hangers in wardrobe.wardrobe.gifloor room

I like some of the staff, the people that worked at night were horrible, very rude! I needed to used the microwave and the cups were very hot, I needed a saucer, which was never provided in the room, I was burning my hands, and they refused to let me borrowed a saucer, they told me I needed to call housekeeping, but they were gone for the day! The daytime ladies that make breakfast were just fantastic! They made me ginger tea, as I was very sick! Please, salute them for me!!

Had a really pleasant stay at the Galileo, we shall return to Prague next year, and will certainly choose this hotel again. Good restaurants nearby, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of town, but we chose it as it is near the nightlife area we wanted. However don’t let the word nightlife put you off, we are not talking loud music blaring out of bars and clubs, it’s a quiet neighbourhood, any noise remains behind closed doors, and felt very safe walking back to the hotel.
