Relaxing Getaway
The property was secluded and relaxing with beautiful views. House and decks could use some maintenance and updates. It was clean and comfortable - plenty of space. Camp across the lake gets noisy.

Pocono Heaven
We stayed here President’s Day weekend 2024 and had a wonderful time. Very comfy cozy. Only approximately 25 minutes away from Elk Mountain which was very convenient. Just make sure you bring everything you need as the stores locally may not have what you need.

Great weekend
The chalet is in a lovely quiet setting on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed the beginning of the fall foliage which was stunning. House had everything we needed and it was full of rustic charm.

Lovely lake cottage
We had a peaceful stay at this comfortable Summit Lake Cottage. I swam and kayaked everyday. The cottage had everything I needed. I hope to return soon!

Great family vacation
We all enjoyed our time staying on the lake. We swam, enjoyed the dock, the floating dock, the kayaks, canoe and row boat, and even attempted some fishing. The fire pit area was great for the evening as well. This property has a beautiful view of the lake, is clean and well cared for. We enjoyed our stay.

Lake front Getaway
Overall, the stay was very nice with the best being lake access and availability to the equipment. Really enjoyed how it seems so secluded and private. The cabin has a very rustic feel which is fine and expected but some focus on basic upgrades and property maintenance would make it perfect.

Just what we were looking for…
Enjoyed a long weekend with family over Memorial Day. Location is great to escape and enjoy the lake. Nothing fancy, but everything you need and fits that cabin/great outdoors vibe. The kids loved exploring the property and catching fish while the adults enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a good book.

Fun on the lake
Great private place to stay on the water. We brought young kids and they really enjoyed the boats and fire pit. Jim responds quickly and is helpful. I would recommend this place!

Great log cabin in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful time at the lakefront cabin. We were there for a Christmas weekend skiing trip to Elk Mountain, and we needed a rental where we could bring our bulldog and it was perfect. My husband could easily go back and forth to Elk, to let him out and get back to the mountain to ski with us, and the kids loved sleeping in the loft.

Winter Reunion
This property and the owner were wonderful. It was a warm chalet with the charm you would hope for. It is peaceful with a brook that runs down the property and the snow was beautiful. Sleeping conditions were great and even the single bathroom was fine with our group. We enjoyed our stay and were warmly greeted by the owner.

Peaceful setting!
Peaceful setting! I enjoyed a few days away to relax and spend time outdoors. I did a lot of fishing on the lake, enjoyed a 10 mile bike ride, and relaxed on the Hammock. Thank you Jim, for sharing your lovely cottage on the lake! Ines

nicer than the pics make it look… kind of
I stayed here with 7 friends. We showed up to the property and actually thought the pictures didn’t do it justice, a lot nicer! We had an amazing stay, and the AC works good during the hot summer months (not as much in the loft). Tip- bring toilet paper, garbage bags, and paper towel. It says provided but there was 1-2 of each. A couple little things we thought that could make this place even better: 1. More seating. it sleeps 10, but there is only seating at the table and couches as well as dock for 5-6. 2. Clean/update carpets. Just so old and dirty. 3. Lighting outside- rope lighting by the fire and down to the dock would look stunning. Really fun trip and really amazing stay.

An outdoor delight
The lakefront chalet was in an incredible location! We lucked out with gorgeous weather to enjoy the outdoors here, which is truly the highlight. Ample kayaks, a canoe, a fishing boat, even some tubes, there’s plenty of options. The fire pit was stocked with logs making it easy to enjoy a nighttime fire and surprisingly we didn’t ever need bug spray (a welcome surprise). The cabin interior is definitely that of a cabin- the carpeting and couches are a little tired and maybe it could use a female’s decorating touch, but there was a nice view of the lake to eat by and essentials were all there. Beds were comfortable. For a house that allows dogs we weren’t expecting perfection inside (animals create wear and tear, we get it)! I’d say it was true to the online photos. We appreciated being able to come and go easily with the check in and check out process. There wasn’t a mile long list on exactly how to do things that many STRs have- it was refreshing to just clean up as we would at our own house and be on our way! Thank you Jim!

Lakeside hideaway
The property is pet friendly and out labradoodle had the time of his life swimming, running through the woods and finding dead petrified fish along shoreline. The property is located in a secluded location and during our stay none of the other cottages in the immediate neighborhood were occupied, so we almost had the side of the lake to ourselves. Jim, the owner was quite responsive when we informed him that the hair dryer was missing from our unit. He delivered a replacement within 15-20 minutes. I also informed him that one of the oars for the row boat was missing the oarlock: Jim said that he would bring one back but later called to say that unfortunately he would have to order one so we were unable to use the row boat for our 3 day stay. I had intended to get some fishing in so I had to scrap my plans, however it was probably too early in the season for fishing. I made some casts from the dock without a bite and never saw another person on the lake fishing either. The water was fairly cold. The heat was consistent and we made use of the fireplace one night. Hot water was plentiful at the sink and bath. We spent a relaxing three days, I wish that I had done better research on this area for more things to do. I do have to agree with a previous reviewer that this property could benefit with a good deep cleaning, there were cobwebs & dust over much of the interior. The range hood & kitchen light was also quite greasy. Although the kitchen was well equipped, many pots & pans were in need of replacement. Based on other reviews it appears that the fishing is better in the warmer months, so we might consider a return visit.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary week in early September and the place could not have been more perfect! The photos in the listening don't do the property justice. The lake was spectacular. Perfect location with rustic cabin charm!

Rustic Pocono Cabin On Small Lake
Nice, rustic, well used, comfortable cabin. Lovely Summit Lake with fish to catch and the host providing a row boat, canoe and kayaks. There is a nice fire pit for campfires, the host providing the firewood and comfortable seating. Located away from other attractions, the cabin and grounds made a nice place for our family vacation.
