Log Cabin Sleeps 2-7 Base of Beartooth Mtn Near Cody WY & Yellowstone Natl Park

Cozy Log Cabin with incredible rich views from your front porch at the base of the Beartooth Mountains.

Time spent in Cody Country and the Greater Yellowstone area and especially Yellowstone National Park is a great way to inspire even the youngest to be outdoor kids in a inside world. Yup... a good thing !

Here at Canyon River Outfitters we offer guided fly fishing by float raft and wading along with guided Upland Bird Hunting. If vacationing with a pet or Horses we're pet / horse friendly too !

This original Settlers Log Cabin has been reconstructed right here on our acreage in the Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone River Canyon community.

Short story goes like this... We disassembled this quaint settlers log cabin starting with the tin roof and wide plank roof boards, rafters, cross ties & of course the logs themselves, we loaded it all up and moved it. 😀 We've now reconstructed the cabin and are now sharing this gem😃

We've also added "the just right furnishings" and the excitement is building (pun intended)

Your unique Log cabin here in Clark Wyoming is away from the busyness yet centrally located with easy access to Cody Wyoming with outstanding eatery's, the world famous Cody Nite Rodeo, Buffalo Bill Museum and the Buffalo Bill Reservoir. As well as quaint Red Lodge Montana with it's "let's take a stroll feel" to discover its unique gems for dining & your special acquisition's.

Yup... your Yellowstone National Park via Chief Joseph Scenic & Beartooth Highways leading you to Beartooth Pass, The b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l scenery and wildlife can be spotted right from your cabin as well as most of all, your travels in the Greater Yellowstone area.

Chief Joseph Scenic Highway will lead you to the high bridge over the Clark's Fork River Gorge (make sure you stop...), also to Cooke City Montana (Great BBQ and more) and of course to your Yellowstone National Park with all of it's natural wonders & wildlife.

Along your way to Cooke City & Yellowstone you will also have an option to travel up the Scenic Beartooth Highway and over the infamous Beartooth Pass... 11,000 ft elevation. Hey, along the way you may even choose to stop & enjoy the Top of the World store for a drink or snack break or at various Waterfalls, Lakes & Flowing Water. You can also drive right up to a Fire-Tower and visit with a Forest Service Ranger who lives there, or take the short run up a few stairs and step on to the viewing platforms to "see what the Forest Rangers see" and drink it in... Next a Stop at Beartooth Lake or others along the way... to enjoy the Earth Rich Environment of the Shoshone National Forest you are traveling thru. Hint, these are great places to enjoy a picnic lunch. You will definitely enjoy the Scaping Views as you travel up, up, up and over Beartooth Pass where Marmots, Mountain Goats, Bighorn Sheep and Elk roam & are often seen. Be sure you make and throw a snowball and be on the lookout for the ski lift where the US Ski Team can practice in the off season... Hint... it's closed in the winter due to... too much snow... yikes !

Your travels to and thru these sights & sounds will emphatically implant a desire to "come back" and do it all again... ! Your Beartooth highway visually intense drive, culminates with arrival in Red Lodge Montana for an outstanding lunch or evening meal.

At Canyon River Outfitters (aka CRO) you will be able to rest from your days travel in our cozy / rustic Old West Log Cabin with its accommodating amenities .

Awesome cabin
We enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing cabin away from the crowd and unwind. Hosts were great. Easy access to Cody (30 mins) where we attended the rodeo and went out to eat. Not too far from Yellowstone NP either (90 mins) Would stay again!

Cozy Cabin
We loved our stay and everything was spotless. My son loved the horses and I thought a washer and dryer were such a help as we had 5 travelers for 8 days and could pack less after seeing this on their website. Nice people, good choice if you like being out and away from crowded hotels. Would stay there again.

Great experience!
A good 35 minutes outside Cody, but that's exactly what we wanted. In a nice, quiet community with great views of the mountains. Only about 40 minutes to Red Lodge, MT, another awesome community definitely worth the drive! Had a couple of minor issues during the first evening of the stay, but owners were on it super fast and things were resolved. Great rustic charm to the cabin with modern finishes and really well appointed. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Fantastic property with wonderful hosts
My wife and I with 2 teenage boys absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was perfect and we loved all the little touches Noble and Joann put into it. They were so welcoming and Noble gave us ample advice to put us on the fish. We have been fishing out west before, and our success in Wyoming and Montana was the best, no question about it. I would highly recommend this property for families that want a true out west experience with abundant opportunities to explore and fish!! It is also close to Cody and Yellowstone and all that those places have to offer😊

Everything was great, from the house, to the property, to the area the house was located in! We especially enjoyed getting to know our hosts. They did everything to be sure we had a great stay. They quickly became good friends. It was a lot of fun learning about the construction of the house. The hosts were very helpful in guiding us to interesting places in the area! We will be back!

Perfect Wyoming Getaway
Very nice cabin - has an authentic old school Wyoming feel to it, although it is completely modern and new. Noble and Joanne are perfect hosts - welcomed us in person and informed us of all the nearby sights. We stayed 6 days. Night skies are awesome. Location is near an designated “dark sky”. We enjoyed star gazing every night and smores at the outdoor firepit. Lots of outdoor space for our 11 week old lab to play and burn energy. Hot shower, clean spacious bathroom. Loft has beds for 6 plus a queen bedroom downstairs. Highly recommend!

Road Trip 2024
We loved the pictures of the cabin online. The cabin was beautiful, but when we arrived there was a camper parked next to cabin with people staying in it. This was not disclosed in VRBO ad. We were expecting an air conditioned cabin and there was only air upstairs. So we felt bad for the couple that traveled with us. Cooled off at night and used fans. It did get warm when we cooked in the kitchen. No freezer space so plan your meals accordingly. Other then that the stay was nice and cabin was very clean.

Beautiful and Welcoming
My husband and I stayed here with our two children (9&6yo) and our dog. It was the perfect spot to get away. Beautiful Mountain View and a cozy, comfortable cabin that the owners relocated piece by piece and rebuilt on their property with amazing touches of their own to create an amazing place to stay. Joanne and Noble are also amazing hosts! We had so much fun getting to know them while we stayed here and they were so helpful and knowledgeable of the area. It’s a short drive to the chief Joseph scenic byway and bear tooth scenic highway. A canyon with the Clark’s fork river running through it and the start of the Morrison Jeep Trail is just a short drive down the road to explore. It’s about an hour and half drive to Yellowstone, but the drive there is beautiful you don’t even notice. We had an incredible time! 10/10 will stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking to get away to the mountains.

Great cabin with updated rustic touches
This place was a great launching point to get to Yellowstone and perfect for my family of 5 + pup. We walked to the community center for the playground and baseball field (less than a mile) and drove into Cody one day for some lunch and shopping. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed including a gorgeous mountain view. Would definitely stay again!
