"We normally stay in the middle of nowhere, so this was a change for us to be in a town setting. Sherborne is a really lovely and vibrant town, with interesting buildings. The cottage was very cosy and clean, very comfy beds,it had everything we needed, we could hear the Abbey bells which was lovely, it's just round the corner."

"The cottage is lovely. I was a little surprised/disappointed by the close proximity of other houses as the pictures make it look quite rural. A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs. "Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. "A cosy base with all we needed for a lovely stay in a lovely area. A nice welcome package of flowers, drinks and biscuits, along with a few extras - cooking oil and tea bags. Impressed with the kitchen area, which was well stocked with equipment to enable easy self catering. Denise was a very thoughtful host, willing to respond quickly to questions. One point to note - we didn't want one, but there isn't a hot tub!"

"Perfect venue for a cosy week catching up with friends, we had been looking for somewhere large enough for all 10 of us to get together, play board games and have a film night! This was perfect! The dining table accomodated us all, as did the sofa! We also did all our own cooking and found the kitchen to be well equiped, (far more so than some professional kitchens weve used!) Will definitely be keeping this saved for future catch ups!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The ground floor is perfect for a large group with a well equipped kitchen, cozy lounge and a dining room which easily seats 14/15 adults. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and nearly all with en-suites. The house is well located within easy reach of Dorchester, Bridport and the coast. Highly recommended."
