"I came in December, which is their low season, so I was basically one of the very few people staying at the hotel. The receptionist was only around for the check-in. The cleaning staff only showed up once. The rest of the time, they expect you to call if you need help, which is not realistic for foreign travellers, especially if you are not fluent in French or Italian. The building is locked, so basic safety is not an issue. However, when the internet went out, I had no way to contact anyone...

"Owned by the third generation the owners are doing their best to maintain and renovate the hotel. We were lucky to have a bay facing room newly renovated the AC was working well which was great as there was a heat wave"

"L'hôtel est quand même un bien situé à Porto, a moins de 10 min de marche pour aller au port ou sont tous les restos. La piscine est belle mais n'est pas chauffée, donc en juin c'était encore assez frais. La chambre était bien, mais il y avait une petite odeur désagréable, comme d'égout. "

"Being 3 star, we were not expecting luxury and this hotel was clean and simple with all the main facilities needed, including an open air pool. Great views across the mountain on our balcony and friendly staff so no complaints. If you are looking for more luxury and facilities on tap, this may not be foe you, as there is no kettle, few plugs, no fridge, in the room and no restaurant on site etc, which in more modern hotels tends to come as standard these days.
