Colonial Motel

2.5 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (181)
"I recently stayed at the Colonial Motel of North East, PA, and I was blown away by the incredible hospitality and kindness of the family who owns and operates it. After being caught in a long snow-related traffic jam, I arrived early Saturday morning feeling weary. The family went out of their way to accommodate me, helping me get into a room early and even offering food to make sure I was comfortable. Their genuine care and dedication to their guests truly stood out. The room was spotless,...

The motel itself is like one from the 1980’s. However, as soon as you open the door you can see it is clean and smell the cleanliness. We ordered a Smoke-free room, and before we opened the door, I had my reservations because the drapes looked like they were stained with nicotine. It was only stain, the room had no smoke smell. TV was via...

"The property was great for our Thanksgiving get-together. The view of Lake Erie is wonderful, the house is comfortable and well-appointed (with a great kitchen), and our hosts were excellent. In fact, the owner (Ethan) really went above and beyond. We were unexpectedly snowed in by a lake-effect storm, and Ethan reached out to a neighbor who brought us pizza and wine! Just terrific people all the way around. A heartfelt thanks to all. We would definitely return to the Lake House!"
