Nice place in the middle of Division St area
We loved staying at the Urban Barn. I liked how it was built to commemorate an old beloved barn that once existed on the site. Also enjoyed the decor and appreciated the efforts to recycle and be “green”. Very artful place. 😊

Perfect get away
The Urban Barn was even more than we expected. The design, floor plan and decor were "architectural digest" quality. Loved the secluded patio. Couldn't have been more charming. We will come back & refer our friends! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful home base
This was a wonderful place to stay. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. It is also beautiful, tasteful, and comfortable. The Barn has a very zen atmosphere. It is in a very convenient neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We would absolutely recommend it and will stay there again the next time we are in Portland.

Lovely chic property
The neighborhood has all you need within a few blocks. The owner/manager promptly responded to my questions about the door lock and the neighbor's flood lamp that shone into the main living area 24 h a day. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great apartment in a fun neighborhood
The apartment was clean and spacious. It had plenty of amenities for cooking the like. More than we even had time to use! the neighborhood in Portland was also great. The apartment was jut a few blocks from Division Street, with lots of great beer, coffee, and food.

Clean, green, and spacious
Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful, the place was well-stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials, the bed was as comfortable as any I’ve ever slept on, and there was tons within walking distance. Our kids loved the back patio. If I had any feedback it would be that arriving at night, it would have been helpful to have the outside lights on to make entry smoother.

Loved our stay at the PDX urban barn. Walked over to nossa familia coffee shop for our morning coffee each day. Delicious! Then it was over to new seasons market for snacks. All kinds of amazing foods, coffee, and beer in Portland. Truly a foodie destination. All amazing! Did a few hikes in the Columbia River Gorge including Multnomah Falls. The views were stunning. Took a day trip to the Oregon coast (Cannon Beach). Majestic! Topped it off with a couple days in Eugene for the US track and field Olympic trials. We had a blast! Got to see Sydney McLaughlin Lerone break the world record! What a great vacation! Angelo , Mari , Daniel and Alyssa

Perfect apartment in a perfect location!
Susan's place is the best possible perch in a wonderful part of Portland. We loved this clean, eco-friendly place: no chemical scents on the linens, easy to use the chilly early morning air to cool down the place without needing AC, etc. Being steps away from both New Seasons and the co-op was fantastic, not to mention the excellent sushi and Mexican (Nueva Cucina) nearby. Plenty of room outside to secure our rental bikes -- Around Portland Tours/Convenient Cycle is a pleasant walk away through Ladd's Addition. We hope to return soon!

Live Like A Local
Excellent, excellent location!! Easy walk to all the great shops and eateries on Hawthorne and Division. Grocery store only a stone's throw away. If you want to visit Portland and live like a local, this is the perfect house. Ultra cool re-vamped barn, very tasteful furnishings down to the dishes. No need to bring shampoo, conditioner, soap, or hair dryer. Convenient washer and dryer. One of our top stays ever. Highly recommend.

Best stay ever!
The urban barn was better than even those lovely photos show. This home is not only spotless, quiet, and comfortable, but one of the best designed places I've ever seen. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, the shower is fantastic, the beds a dream. Just a few blocks from a terrific grocery store, and also easy to get anywhere in Portland from the location. Susan met us when we arrived, which we appreciated. We were sorry to have to leave. I look forward to another visit to the urban barn in the future. It was the highlight of our trip to Portland!

Best VRBO I have ever stayed at!
I do not use that heading lightly. We have been all over the world and in most cases, stayed in places we have rented through VRBO and others I was forbidden from mentioning in my review because it was flagged. :) This is hands down the best place we have stayed at. Not only was it clean, quiet, spacious and had everything we needed. It had amazing character and was so thoughtfully laid out. The urban-barn design worked so well with our family. An open, airy layout, we still had plenty of “pockets” to call our own when each of us wanted to have some “me” time—be it the loft, the ground-level bedroom, the living area or the patio. I wish I could transplant this place to all the other destinations we have on our bucket list! I hope to be back sometime soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay,, Susan!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!
If you are traveling to Portland and want a true Portland experience in your lodging while feeling right at home, you need to stay in the “Urban Barn”. This beautifully decorated home in a typically wonderful Portland neighborhood is so comfortable and nice in every way. We immediately felt at home and the location was a perfect home base for our trip to Portland. Southeast Portland such great area. Lots of great restaurant and shops you can walk to and enjoy. So many wonderful places to see and things to do in easy driving distance. Susan, the owner , make the check in / out experience easy and seamless. She is very accommodating and her communication and helpful. She really wants you to have a great stay and enjoy all that Portland has to offer. I can’t say enough nice things about her and then”Barn”. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. 10 would be much more appropriate. By far the best VRBO we have rented. Don’t miss this place if you visit Portland!

Best Barn Ever
Urban Barn Guesthouse was perfect for our first visit to Portland! We spent last week on a bakery, brewery and bicycle shop birthday tour and were not disappointed. Designed with industrial chic details we love, we immediately felt very comfortable. And the house is located in a great walkable neighbourhood. Division and Clinton Streets are fun to explore but it is easy to get out and about if you want to venture over the bridge to downtown. Just know that the SE has so much to offer so you don't have to go far. We tried several neighbourhood cafes who had fantastic food and service on the menu. We did not even make coffee at home after finding Roman Candle Bakery. Check out Avignon or American Local and the Tidbit Food Cart Pod is minutes away with lots of yummy options. Enjoy a Portland beer with your meal and hang out with the locals. Susan was easy to deal with and she met us at the house when we arrived. Great spot and easy to recommend!
