Love the home!!
House was awesome!! Communication was great from beginning to end of our stay!! Loved that we could walk to the beach from the home! The only negative was that the patio over looked a public access parking lot but we loved the house & would rent it again !!

Fun family get away
Enjoyed having 10 bedrooms for everyone to spread out in. Easy walk to (and on) the beach. Yet we all could gather inside and outside too. We made a few trips into Chicago (~1 hour transit if driving or via the very convenient train (South Shore Line). [No cicadas present in summer of 2024.]

Beachfront Villa
Great place! We had 24 family members with plenty of room to spread out, cook and eat, have family games and activities. Location was great for walking on the beach and through the adjoining State Park. Kitchen was large with a second kitchen for additional cooking. Everything was in good working order and clean throughout. Everyone said they would be up for coming back here again.

Beautiful home & View
This home is spacious and beautiful with incredible views. Wonderful location as well! Only thing I would say needs improvement is the main kitchen needs some attention. The bottom freezer drawer does not open easily. The stove top only had two working burners and was missing the oven knob. Telling a guest they can use the oven in the other kitchen, not a good look for such an upscale property. It was obvious this was not a new issue so it should have been fixed. The only other thing people may want to know is the internet is not super great at this location but I know that is not the owner’s fault.

Amazing Location
Check in was super easy. The property manager stayed in constant communication leading into the event. We rented the entire location (Villa Santorini + Addition) and it was amazing. There were no surprises from viewing it online to being in person. It was clean and well kept and the amenities / upgrades were impressive. Thanks for a very easy booking process and I have already recommended the venue to other peers.

Fantastic home for a large group!
We rented this house for a corporate strategy retreat, and the layout of the house and ample bedrooms/bathrooms was perfect for giving every colleague privacy. Kitchen size and amenities was great for large meal preparation. Hot tub, awesome views, built-in whole home audio, tons of TVs, coffee amenities - all of it was fantastic. My only gripe is communication with Miller Beach Vacation Rentals. It is hard to get a response from them, from the requesting/confirmation of an early check-in, to getting a receipt for my charges. I've asked multiple times (via e-mail, via text, via their portal, and via their website) and I still haven't heard a thing.

Girls Weekend
Outside looked a little rough and not really taken care of like it showed in the listing. The toilet was clogged once we arrived. We contacted the owner and they came and said it was fixed. The toilet worked for few hours and was clogged again. Also there was a passcode on the thermostat and we were not able to lower the temp. After multiple attempts of contacting the owner we still never received the code. Overall it wasn’t so bad expect few things mentioned above. The owner was very responsive to our texts usually within minutes.

This place is so nice. Perfect for a small family. We enjoyed our min walk to the beach and the view. The hot tub was a bonus. The beach was quiet and not many people at all. The dogs had a blast there too. Very comfortable and we can’t wait to come back

Be warned before staying here
The property owners keep billing me for fees which were not included in the amount I paid through VRBO. I paid two amounts through VRBO, received an email form Miller Properties stating they had received my final payment and showed a zero balance, then on the day we arrived they started billing me for an additional $180 in fees. This is completely unethical. The master bedroom is up a shaky metal spiral staircase - anyone with any knee problems would not be able to make it up there. The house was clean, except there was fresh urine on one of the toilets - that was not pleasant.

Awesome house and beautiful location for our annual couples retreat!
My husband and I and 2 other couples get together every year to catch up and relax. We are spread out across the US and like to try a new place each time. We decided we wanted to be near Chicago this time and we are VERY pleased with our choice. We've been doing this now since 2010 and this place was the group favorite. What an amazing space, well decorated, and full of ALL creature comforts! It was a comfortable size and even though the upstairs bathroom is shared, we didn’t mind, since it can be easily locked, plus it’s so darn cool! The kitchen had just about everything needed, including a crock pot and blender! It was a very relaxing trip and Hilary and her staff really went the extra mile to ensure all the bases were covered. One night the internet went out and someone came over right away to fix it! Tanya met us on site and had a fire going already. Everything was really clean and easy to find and use. We downloaded the App which gave us good local recommendations. The views from the decks were gorgeous of lake Michigan and the surrounding parkland. Access to the beach was easy and down a short dune path. Since it’s the middle of winter, the wind off the lake was fierce, but we went on several hikes and coming back to a roaring fire was a real blessing. We even used the hot tub a couple of times despite the cold weather! There were so many other unique touches that we didn’t expect, firewood, ozone laundry, really cool cabinet and deck lights, heated bathroom floors, board games, and free coffee! WiFi was fast enough to all watch what we wanted on the TVs. Thank you very much Hilary for providing such an inviting and thoughtful space for our yearly get-together! Shelly Sanders

Expensive and not at all worth what the experience was
Pros: a lovely unit very well decorated with high end appliances and materials. A nice space for 2 couples. Cons: I really get upset when I pay for one thing but get another. First the fisheye pictures make it look twice the size it is. We were IMMENSELY disappointed when we walked in. This would be very cramped for 12 people. You may SLEEP 12 people but not entertain them comfortably without splitting your party between the 2 floors and the outside. There is not enough inside seating for that many together. The living room alone at best seats 5, and it is a very cramped space. You can’t use the advertised “modern wood burning stove” except off-peak. It is not roomy. We had a party who was on crutches and had to walk sideways most everywhere as the spaces were so cramped. The picture of the building front is misleading because there is no first floor door access even though one is pictured (plus that picture is showing both rentals—part of the VILLA and the ADDITION to make it seem more spacious than it is.) You cannot access the ADDITION without 20 or so steps from the back of the building and I would not have chosen this unit if not for the front entrance picture. The parking spots are extremely difficult to maneuver from a SUV due to a steep incline to park on and unpack. Then you must climb the 20 steps with luggage and food and reverse to leave. There is no glass in the step partitions up to the unit!! How did that pass code? A child could easily fall through the railing! And we had a toddler along. The Nest temperature controller required a password so we couldn’t use it and got cold. That is not a picture of the first floor bathroom above the description. That bathroom is so cramped you have a frog hair between the toilet and the door and you cannot use the toilet paper holder because it is sooo cramped when you sit down. The beach access is down a hill of sand and then thru the sand grasses. The “breathtaking views of Lake Michigan” are thru the trees and are a limited view. The Andrew Harper rating is for the VILLA and not the ADDITION. I could go on but no point; the owners are skating the fringe with this listing so be warned. There are also 3 pages of rules when you get there to sign. They bugged us all afternoon with texts about our arrival time. And lastly we were to strip the beds EVEN THO we paid over $1100 for 2 nights including a cleaning fee. These owners are a vacation BUZZKILL!!!! There was a lot of deception in my opinion.
