Great Place!
Hate to admit it because it may bring more people and make it harder to rent, but we loved the place! Great area - much quieter than crazy PCB or other touristy areas and a very dog-friendly community! Beach is very close - awesome views, not busy even during the day and awesome for morning and evening walks. Thank you!!!

Cleanliness
We love Cape San Blas. It was our second year vacationing but 1st time staying here. It was not clean, dog hair all over, floors were sticky and the living room area smelled of strong urine. I vacuumed and swept when we left and it was cleaner than when we arrived. We were out the door at checkout time but in the driveway, my son and grandson waited in our vehicle while we walked to say goodbye to family around the corner and we were charged a late fee!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Might have to use another source other than VRBO. Also difficult to reach owner.

We would stay here again
The townhouse was as advertised. Clean, spacious and a short walk to the beach, with a nice balcony upstairs where we drank our coffee in the morning. The screened in porch was nice too. Host recommendations on restaurants were spot on. We enjoyed our week in Cape San Blas very much. The water was clear, the beach was fine and uncrowded. We will definitely return!

A Great Stay
This is our second end-of-year celebration at Barrier Dunes and the first at Pop Tart. The beach views are amazing and it is a quick walk to the beach and pool. We had to do some online work while were there and the desk in the master bedroom is marvelous. The internet speed is a little slow, but we made it work.

Loved the Blueberry PopTarts.
We Enjoyed our stay at “STEPPED ON A POPTART’. A very well supplied and maintained condo just steps from the beach. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. The condo is perfectly situated for viewing the Gulf and getting to the beach. The screened lanai is a real bonus.

Great Getaway!
This condo is perfectly located on Cape San Blas. It is less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. The master bedroom is absolutely beautiful and is on the second floor where you can see the beach and ocean from inside or on the belcony! The screened in first floor deck is a plus, as not may units at Barrier Dunes have this added feature. We were able to sit outside on the deck at night and not have to worry about any bugs and it was a great place to put our dog if we weren't in the condo. The kitchen is very well equipped for anything you might need to make, including Thanksgiving dinner! We vacationed with 2 adults, 3 college age adults and our dog. The condo is updated, clean, spacious and fit our needs perfectly. We will be back again!

Nice location. Clean unit. Lacking on ammenities.
We've stayed in Barrier Dunes for close to 20 years now. Great location on the Cape. This unit has a nice location within the complex. The unit was clean upon arrival. The unit is lacking in some basics. Full size forks were scarce. Towels/wash cloths provided were small in quantity and size. There were some repairs being made while we were there (driveway and a couple of plumbing issues). However the unit could use a thorough review of little things that would be easy to resolve. There were a lot of nail holes in the wall and labels for what was once there (fishing rod rack, etc.). The unit has the basics, but is lacking compared to the other units we have stayed in at Barrier Dunes.

Couldn't have been better...
My wife and I made a bit of a last-minute decision to visit Cape San Blas which meant we scrambled a bit to find a place to stay. This condo was near the end of the peninsula close to the entrance of the state park. We couldn't have made a better decision. The owner provided us with a comprehensive welcome packet with accurate directions to the condo, a useful guide to the surrounding locale, and helpful instructions on how to check-in, make use of the condo, and check-out. The condo itself was first-rate. Very comfortable with multiple wide-screen TV's which were nice on the couple days of rain we encountered. The bed in the master bedroom was outstanding (we never slept so well). The people in the other condos nearby were friendly and the neighborhood was quiet. Miles of white sand beach, great sunrises/sunsets, and miles of biking if that's your thing (it was for us). Port St. Joe and Apalachicola have restaurants and shops for food and exploring, and Panama City is about 30 minutes away if you want a bit of a road trip. Overall we had a great time and hope to return. Highly recommend both the accommodations and the locations. First-rate!

Bad water gray in color, water pressure so low we could not get the washer to fill,
The beach is lovely, weather was great. Had a problem with dishwaher and shower having very very low pressure, water was a gray color called owner on monday no one came till Friday our last day. This washer would not fill and the shower was a dribble we did buy water and used our neighbors showers and washer, when we asked the owner for some type of compensation, he said the plumber told him it was safe to drink the water even though it was a silty gray color like the water in the stool! , just needed a filter change , he said the pressure is always low on the cape, funny since a friend rented a place a few units down and their pressure was fine . Needless to say it was an inconvenience and very disgusting!!!

Comfortable place to stay
Enjoyed our visit to Stepped on a Poptart. Very comfortable and great access to a beautiful beach. Only downside in the fall is, depending on which way the wind is blowing, there could be black flies that have a pretty good bite. The locals have several concoctions that will help out but we found that Avon Skin-So-Soft worked the best. I want to emphasize that this in no way took away from our enjoyable vacation and has nothing to do with the condo or the owner. Just be aware and prepared for it. Had a concern with communications as the main phone was not working and cell coverage in the area is spotty at best (AT&T and Verizon). The owner was extremely responsive to any questions and had local service company out next day and together we resolved the issue. We also found a few bugs around but the owner has the place treated regularly and what place doesn't at the beach. If you are looking for food, we highly recommend the Indian Pass Raw Bar as a unique place to get your seafood. Food is top notch and the outside entertainment is great. The Owl Café in Apalachicola is also a nice treat. We will be coming back and have already recommended this place to friends. This is by far the most responsive and prepared owner I have encountered. No question goes unanswered and responses are very timely.

Sadly Disappointing... May not be the owners fault but WAS their responsibility to make it right!
With no fault to the house. This is a great family complex and the unit had nice views and was the perfect size for our vacation.. Now with that being said.. This experience was not a good one. We arrived at the home at approx. 6:45 in the evening after driving all day with 3 children and a dog, so non to say the least we were exhausted and just wanted to settle in. We arrived and the home was not clean, it appeared as though the main level had not been cleaned, dirty floors (lots of long dark hairs), oven had not been cleaned in a very long time, dirty/food in microwave and there was no starter toilet paper (also children had been looking forward to the Pop Tarts which were not there). SO before I could even unpack I contacted Debbie and sent pictures then ran to the nearest store to get TP&PT. Debbie did respond quickly and asked if I wanted the cleaner to come the next day, yes, even though I had to do cleaning that night so we could walk on the floors. By 3 the next day the cleaner had come & finished telling me a new girl cleaned and they didn't walk over what she had done & the oven was self-cleaning, LOL really! All was well. Sunday afternoon. Tuesday morning awoke to no electric in either bathrooms, living room ceiling fan, main phone outlet & back porch light (that is an oddly wired circuit to be snaked throw the house). I text Debbie at 6:42 am. she responded with in 30 minutes (thumbs up) I spent the next 3 hours explaining the issue, I heard it all from what's the weather doing, did you blow it with hair dryers (didn't even bring one of those as I am on vacation),reset GFCI etc.. I checked everything imaginable before even texting, but there is a nice note above the breaker box referring to this specific breaker (how it trips and how to reset it) but was told this has never been a problem before. will try to get to my point.. She finally called a Service man, couldn't come out until Thurs (k it is what it is) small child, dark bathroom, scared of dark, ugg.. she said she would try to get me into owners closet for flashlights but never heard back from her on that. The service man could not make the repair do to a leak in the roof (AW that is why she asked if we had had lots of rain, ding, ding!) So we were without electric/no phone for the rest of vacation. No attempt was made to make it right just told it was out of her control. But it was our vacation so very sadden, I know what I would have done here, but she had her $$$.

Summer vacation
Perfect location to a beautiful beach. Pool was nice and close as well. Black flies came in on Thursday so that was a bummer….their bite hurts!!! King size bed was very comfy. Some suggestions for condo… a throw blanket would be nice, some new Tupperware with tops that fits, knife sharpener because knives are very dull. Otherwise, pretty much had everything we needed. Oh! We could not figure out how to work the cd player. But we found a movie on Prime. Extra points for the bidet!!!
