White Sand Ocean Beach & Private Boardwalk-Cape San Blas-1st tier 3b 2b House

The Salty Dude is a hidden gem just steps from a private boardwalk and a large remote beach. The north end of the Cape is considered the quiet area and is known for its glamorous white sand beaches and aqua water. The secluded beach is not busy even during holidays and high volume time periods. This tier 1 gulf side home is tucked behind a sand dune and the ocean front house currently being constructed. The private boardwalk is approximately 25 feet from the house. You are sure to relax at this piece of paradise! Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
This home has been updated and new furniture was added throughout for your beach vacation. The bright & sunny open living space of the family room, dining room and kitchen is a great open space to hang out. It contains a 55" smart TV with Dish Network as the provider. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining area has a large table that seats six comfortably. There are three full size bedrooms, a pullout queen sofa sleeper with memory foam mattress, and two full bathrooms with one containing a community 84” double bowl vanity which makes the home feel like it has three bathrooms when everyone is trying to get ready. A full size washer & dryer is located in the spacious utility room for convenience during your stay. There is room for three vehicles and two can be covered if needed. Also, lots of room for your belongings which can be stored under the house out of the weather, as well. You are 25 feet to the start of the boardwalk with an approximate 150 feet walk down the boardwalk to the beach without having to pay ocean front rental fees. The beach is beautiful with access to miles of white sand beaches and blue water. This house is ideally situated on the Cape near the entrance to the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and the untouched beauty of “Old Florida”. This is an excellent location to rent a canoe, paddle-board, kayak, boat, or bicycle and explore. There is a bicycle path the entire length of the Cape allowing connectivity between the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and Salinas Park. Rish Park, right down the road, offers a large swimming pool for community use.
There is a community boat parking lot about a half mile from the house. No boats should be brought down Spoonbill Lane as there is no turn around.
Bonfires and vehicles are allowed on the beach. Please visit the Gulf County Florida website for details on obtaining permits for vehicles and rules for bonfires.

Wonderful
We had a great time staying at the Salty Dude! This is our second time staying in Cape San Blas, and we just love the quiet area to enjoy the beach and spend time with family. The house was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds were comfy. It was such a quick walk to the ocean down a short boardwalk, and the full-time neighbors were friendly. The Trading Post a few minutes away carries your basic groceries, and there's a fresh seafood place as well. It was lovely enjoying a fire on the beach in the evenings, and stargazing was easy without a ton of light pollution around. Would definitely stay again.

Just pelicans and waves!!
What a relaxing time we had at the Salty Dude!! The house was perfect and so was the weather. There were other people on the beach but they were so far away from us.All you could hear was the waves and I don’t believe I’ve seen so many pelicans in the air like this visit, what a sight. We got to meet Tammi during our stay she was so nice and helpful recommending restaurants in the area. Oh one more thing I slept on the king (nightly) and queen ( napped) both excellent beds. We would rent The Salty Dude again!

Great Getaway Cottage
We had a wonderful time staying at the Salty Dude. It's a great house, well-appointed, and close to the beach. The large house directly between the cottage and the beach is a bit overwhelming, but access to the sand couldn't be better. Rent it, you'll like it.

Nice getaway place
We enjoyed our time on Cape San Blas. It is very quiet and laid back. Most of the time we were the of the time we were the only 2 people walking on the beach(it was January). The house was very nice, but we must mention that there is s new house being constructed right next door and sometimes you have walk around construction vehicles to get to the boardwalk leading to the beach. I will say we never had any problems with the workers.

Nice home near State Park
Be advised that there is a large house being built right in front of this rental. The crew did not work on the weekend and left each day by 4 or 5. There was communication with them and they were very polite. Nearby a very noisy pile-driver operated two days of the stay making it impossible to stay in the house so we went to nearby state park. That 's the way it is at a post-hurricane beach and we understand. However, one night the neighbor in front to the right had a super bright security light that flooded our normally dark deck and house interior making star-gazing impossible., but fortunately the owner responded quickly to my text message and it was turned off. The house was clean and comfortable for our stay, but be advised of the potential noise. There are also several steep steps to and from the beach but there is a nice over-look with seating for enjoying the beach.

Great location, friendly owner
We really enjoyed the stay. Very comfortable place and very close to the beach. You actually can see the ocean between a dune and another home. And you can hear it for sure. It is a short walk to the beach. And it is so quiet. No one. And I mean no one is around you. Or close to you. We would have a few people walk in front of us, but not much. There are turtle nests around you as well. So cool. It is very remote area. So much so, at night, you can see the milky way. When I say remote, there are other houses and people, but not much. 2 restaurants are walking distance. The inside was very clean and a good open layout. The owner helped us with any question we had and was very sweet. 2 negatives. They are building a house on the property in front. They only built one day while there. I am almost thinking our owner talked to the other owner and asked to work on other houses on the Cape. The other negative is the layout of the bedrooms and baths. One bath is a hallway to another bedroom. Look. This is a beach house. Does it really matter? No. I would love to stay there forever.

Peaceful Paradise!
Exactly what my family needed! We felt like we was the only ones in the beach at times. Shirt walk down the boardwalk and you was at the beach. The house was a perfect fit for my entire family! Would definitely stay here again!
