Located in the family-friendly Barefoot Cottages community, guests will enjoy nature trails to walk and bike around, an outdoor grilling area, and the soft white sand of Windmark Beach just one mile away. Popular daytime activities nearby include snorkeling, swimming, and boating in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as golfing and horseback riding on dry land.

The home itself offers plenty of comfortable furniture, a flatscreen cable TV and WiFi for entertainment, and a screened-in porch. There's a dining table with seats for six and a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, all the essentials, and a breakfast bar for additional seating.

The cottage was extremely clean, provided basic necessities. Good to bring own coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc. Mattresses are very comfortable. We could not hear any noise from the pool.

Very nice condo!
Very nice condo! Very nice community. Our only complaint is that the freezer does not work and the managing company is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. We called several times and sent an email. No answer. We promised our kids a week of Popsicles but all I can offer them is plastic tubes of flavored water or melted ice cream. Also, the listing says no dogs but we found several dog toys and pet hair throughout the house. Everyone in the community has pets so don't let the listing stop you from bringing Rover along!

We rented this cottage because it had a washer and dryer. When we arrived, the cord was not even attached to the machines. We called multiple times to have someone to come out and fix during our stay. It wasn't until th 4th or 5th phone call that someone finally told us they would not be fixed during our stay. We had to take our vacation time to go to a laundromat rather than enjoying the pool. There were broken chairs and stools, and the master bath shower was covered in mold. The stove knobs were worn off and it was trial and error to figure out high from low. This cottage needs a major updating overhaul.

Port St. Joe Condo at Barefoot Cottages
Very nice place. Two couples enjoyed staying for 5 nights. Master bath has walk-in shower. Other bedroom has bathtub. Living room photo shows a wicker chair that was not there. Sofa and loveseat have beige slipcovers. The outside light didn't work. Swimming pool wasn't operational when we were there. The security gate to get into the complex wasn't there. There are carts to use to take supplies and luggage from the parking lot. There weren't dedicated parking spaces for the unit. We had two cars but were given one hang-tag. It didn't seem that they were necessary as none of the other cars in the lot had them. This property is actually managed by Vacasa. VRBO is only listing it. Its a long walk to the beach along a busy highway. Lots of weeds on the way to the beach. There is a public beach a few miles away. Port St. Joe is recovering well from Michael, but understandingly there still is a lot of work to do to restore everything.

Mother daughter get away
This was are third stay at this cottage . It's close to the pool and well equipped. The only thing that could make it better is a ceiling fan on the porch. If you love breakfast eat at the San dollar cafe.

Amazing Cottage -but lots of noise and partying
Cottage was clean, modern, and plenty of space for 3 people. Kitchen had plenty of cookware, utensils and coffee maker is very nice. This cottage faces the community pool, so be aware there will be LOTS of noise. Lots of loud music and unsupervised minors ALL night at the pool all 4 nights of our stay. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for this reason. K

This by far was the most amazing house I have ever stayed at... It was beyond OCD clean, beautiful decor and well laid out floor plan.. We hosted a rehearsal dinner with family and made wonderful memories.. I loved that it was literally 4 steps to the pool.. Thank you so much for sharing this home.. Memories last forever..

Absolutely perfect!
My stay at Barefoot Cottages was perfect from the time I got there and until I left! I came with a couple of friends to relax one last time for the summer and I was amazed. Barefoot Cottages was a nice, quiet and more family oriented location that was very clean and well kept. I loved that the pool was right outside our cottage which was great for cooling down. The beach access was about a 2 minute drive and the beach was not crowded and was very peaceful. We appreciated the calmness of Port St Joe compared to areas like PCB because it was ideal for a relaxing vacation. We had no communication issues and the owner was very kind and helpful when we were communicating. I will definitely be returning to Barefoot Cottages next year and I am recommending it to all my friends and family!!!!

This place was fantastic! The only reason for 4 stars is that the mattresses were too uncomfortable and the one in the master bedroom makes noises every time you turn over. We would stay again regardless. Wonderful little community and Port St. Joe was a very nice town to visit. Can't wait to return.
