Loved this place! So quirky but charming. The Loft was very cool (I should call it ‘the library’ because there are even more books up there than downstairs! Kitchen well appointed. Heater works great. Only negatives were that refrigerator runs off & on, and at night it sounds like it’s powering up. I had to close the hall door to the living room so I wouldn’t have to hear it. And the other thing was the bed, it’s horrible. It is way too soft and unsupportive, it feels like you’re laying on foam Also, the walk to the beach is definitely a hike downhill and then steep uphill all the way back. I never did find the trail. I drove down there.. I also wish it had a TV. I had to watch on my iPad. A family would love it here. I did too, I was just by myself.Very very quiet & serene.

Sweet town, ocean view, charming cottage
Stayed for a month. We love the Oregon coast, and this property gave us access to so much! We hiked the cape and point trails at the coast guard station numerous times, as well as, other trails up and down the coast. Found lots of agates. Deer came through our yard sometimes twice a day, and we watched them through huge picture windows. This property was remodeled by someone with superior style and carpentry skills. The upstairs loft area is spectacular.

Amazing view
The place is both off the beaten path and centrally located. We had plans to visit more of Port Orford, but the view from the picture winfow kept us inside, chatting and enjoying the amazing Pacific Ocean. We loved there was no TV to distract from Mother Natures best must see TV.

Beach great, House and property need work
House dirty, in need of deep cleaning ! Could use new towels and shower mats. Too much clutter regarding pots snd pans because they were stored on dirty floor. Outside house and yard unkept and deck not safe. Neighborhood quiet and peaceful with deer outside windows. Beach beautiful had to ask neighbor for access.

Wonderful secret spot!
My wife and adult daughter really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back. The experience was everything that we expected. The only negative aspect was the lack of a large pan fir cooking( Perhaps not everyone has a wife and daughter who are gourmet chefs ). Overall an excellent experience!!

Cute and quiet with potential
This house is cute and the location is very private with a pretty view. Perfect house to enjoy some peace/quiet but we were pretty disappointed that the trail to the beach (in the description of the house) doesn't actually exist. The outside of the house could be better maintained and the sofa bed is pretty wore out as well. Love the loft but definitely not safe for young kids and the spiral staircase is a tight squeeze for even an average sized adult. Could be alot nicer with some small changes/updates

Wonderful View
We had a great time, ocean sunsets every night, cool and unique home. Internet wasn't working when we got there, I called vacasa who couldn't help, stated that local manager would contact me next day. Nobody ever called or emailed me, luckily, I figured it out. Very quiet, private neighborhood.

Hard to figure out the lights arriving in the dark, but once settled in it was a very cozy and unique little craftsman home. Ocean far in the distance but a nice view from upstairs. No coffee provided, bring your own. Coffee pot and filters provided. Felt very homey a nice stay.

Lots to love, but safety concerns
This house is a very neat property, with beautiful Port Orford cedar throughout. You are in the woods with a great view of the ocean and the sunset. We enjoyed the privacy and relaxation. Port Orford is a neat, pretty tiny town with some fantastic, uncrowded hikes and viewpoints. Port Orford Heads was a highlight. We enjoyed takeout food from Golden Harvest and the Salty Dawg. The house was very clean with a nice washer and dryer. Books throughout and board games made it a great retreat. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (we made eggs for breakfast), but no dishwasher. Shower has good pressure. Nice Hunter Douglas shades in the main room. Small shampoo and conditioner provided, but no bath soap - we brought our own so didn’t bother contacting Vacasa. WiFi was spotty even with restarting router, but cell service is very good. The main reason we can’t give this property 5 stars is the hazardous staircase up to the loft. Yes, it is a spiral, but it is incredibly narrow with sharp corners and slippery. Our 7 year old fell down it within a few minutes of arriving (she was wearing socks - do not do this) and got scraped up and a bit sore. Our 10 year old bumped her shoulder. As a large sized adult, I only went upstairs once as it was a tight fit. The girls certainly enjoyed staying in the loft and spent much of their time relaxing up there. The staircase also has sharp corners, one in particular where it is easy for an adult to hit their head when passing by to the kitchen. We wrapped a kitchen towel around it for safety. Pullout couch worked fine for our 3rd adult. The sheets for it are in a hidden closet behind the big door to the bathroom hallway. That is also where the rest of the towels are (only 4 in bathroom). We had trouble finding the house as Google Maps had the location marked wrong. We reported this so hopefully it gets fixed. You are looking for the street number on a little pole on the right side of the road. You can’t see the house from the road. We ended up continuing down the hill and turning around, accidentally ending up in a neighbor’s driveway. I think he was just trying to help by pointing up the hill, but he gave us a bit of a fright when he came out. Vacasa’s communication was good but impersonal. We didn’t know there was a specific beach trail until we looked back at the listing, and don’t know where it would be as not marked. Aforementioned issue with towels.

Best place ever!
This is the nicest house we’ve rented so far! Quiet, Private and woodsy. The inside is so unique. We think it must be owned by a carpenter. Such fine woodworking and clever touches. Clean, comfortable, and great view of the ocean.

Perfect for Family of 4 + Dog
We booked a two night stay to get away for a couple days. We made the 3 hour drive from Eureka, CA. We loved staying in this cozy-unique house. It was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our girls (10/7) loved having the entire loft space upstairs to themselves. They said it was the best rental we ever rented. They were the perfect age/size to navigate the narrow spiral stair case and our tiny chihuahua knew not to go up there since he could fall through the slats! They looked through all the books and sat in the small desk and sketched the view from the huge windows upstairs. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware needed to cook a proper meal. It was so windy and cold outside during our stay. The nice selection of tea kept us warm. The house floors are all ceramic tile. It is winter right now and boy are those floors chilly without area rugs. Next time I will bring my slippers! It also helped to turn on the heater in the bedroom and main living area to keep the whole house warm. We had a nice relaxing time. All though there isn’t any cable tv or hair dryer (had an old tv for watching movies-not sure if it was dvd)-we were able to stream off our computers that we brought with us. Yay for Wi-if! We loved this cozy and affordable house. We will return!

Great cozy cottage with wonderful view (when it's not foggy!)
Overall this is a fabulous house, and we would stay there again. The bed was firm, the kitchen well appointed, view was amazing, and the local deer were fun to watch. Great location super close to Port Orford Heads, and the delicious Golden Harvest Herban Farm! Just a couple minor complaints. The house was clean, but the floors could use mopping, they seemed to be simply swept "clean". The heater in the bathroom would not come on, luckily it was only chilly in the AM. Having a hair dryer available would also be nice, every house I've stayed at along the coast has one for the guests to use. I'll recommend this house, and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Great place to stary but up grades are needed.
The location of the house is very impressive with views that are great. The owners are obviously taking the right steps to up grade the property and we surely will try to return! We suggest, however, that the drive way be improved with a more clear indication of it being the drive for the rental. We have an Explorer, not sure we'd like to attempt the drive with a low hung car. An addition of a dish washer would be appreciated as well.
