Horrible experience
We stayed in an evacuation during Hurricane Milton, apparently when booking there was not an evacuation order as of then. Rather than the property management company saying something about their other tenants leaving due to a same day mandatory evacuation, they allowed us to drive the 3 hrs to them and then when mentioning that we have 4 kids with us and if the storm is still in that area we n

Clean, comfortable on the water
Overall the property was very nice, however there are a few things in the listing that are unclear. 1) While it is indeed, a private home, it is part of a shared property. Something of a small “compound,” consisting of maybe three or 4 other units which seem to be housing long term renters. The pool is shared among these properties 2) Per our communication with the owner, the “boat dock” is not available for actually docking a boat on. The owner did make this clear to us in our initial communications, but I’m glad we checked before we dragged the boat down there. As a boat owner who often books properties specifically for boating, I’m just passing this information on to others like me. The dock itself is great, views are amazing and I even caught a nice bluefish right off the dock. Overall the property is great as a home base for Daytona shenanigans, the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars across the board is to encourage people to read this review so they are clear about exactly what they are getting.
