This gorgeous bayfront cabin offers the perfect getaway for any group or family. A wall of windows in the main living space means the view is almost as spectacular from inside the home as outside. The open kitchen inside features plenty of counter space and all the gadgets you need to prep a meal. When it's time to eat, take advantage of multiple decks with dining spaces and a grill, perfect for entertaining.

Just a short walk down the stairs at the back of the home is the beach. On the beach, you can dig for clams or fish for salmon in winter. Several miles of beachcombing is at your doorstep – watch for bald eagles soaring above. Less than nine miles from home is Anderson Lake State Park, where you can hike, bike, and walk the trails around the lake, and less than 15 miles away is Marrowstone Point, with a historical lighthouse and beachfront to walk along. The home is close to Olympic National Park, with many hiking and sightseeing experiences.

When you return home after a day of adventuring, step back onto that deck for a view of the glorious night sky. The Milky Way might be putting on a show for you, and you may catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis. Either way, toast your luck at booking such a lovely getaway.

A family cabin
Keep in mind that this is a cabin, and you’ll have a magical time. In the best ways, it’s like staying at a family friend’s place. The home seems thoughtfully crafted to appreciate the forest and water all around. Skylights let you see the stars while going to sleep. Balconies and perfectly placed windows draw your eye to the ocean and provide privacy even without curtains. Family photos and the history of the property made me feel like I knew the owners. There’s enough room to relax but limited amenities encourage you to get out and enjoy nature.

I like renting from VRBO because I like to be able to contact the owner. Vacasa has no flexibility and no one to really know about the property or directions!

Beautiful
A great place to stay. Beautiful views. Close to state parks by Port Townsend and on Marrowstone Island where we went for some great beach walks along the San Juan Strait. Also, there is a bed upstairs, so that was a nice surprise since the listing says it is a sofa bed. Great to wake up to an amazing view of the water. Very lovely to sit on the deck and read a good book while viewing the beautiful surroundings.

Amazing view!
This cabin has windows everywhere. The view is spectacular. The trail to the beach is easy to navigate, even with a bad knee. The furniture is comfortable. A free- standing accordion screen would add to the privacy of this already private property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous Beach Cabin!`
This is a great beach cabin in a terrific setting. The cabin itself is very well constructed and comfortable. The design is simple but outstanding everywhere you look - special thumbs up for the slate floor on the main level. The whole dwelling is oriented toward the truly fabulous set of water view windows on both levels, as it should be. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were very good, and the kitchen was quite well equipped. I could keep going, but you get the idea. There were otters cavorting for my pleasure (actually for their food) several times every day. I would absolutely do this again.

Liked the water views from both floors, the woodsy feel, and the wood stove. Liked the proximity to Port Ludlow and Port Hadlock. Liked the classy interior design and decor, rustic yet modern. Liked all the windows but needed covering on at least one due to the neighboring house. Had trouble figuring out the heat pump and tv instructions.

Incredible View
This was a sweet comfortable cabin with a beautiful view! It had everything you needed and kept us warm when it got chilly outside. The only thing that could have been a tiny bit better was the cleanliness in the kitchen. You could see finger (grease) prints on the cupboards and there was a bit of food grime on top of and in the stove. Othere than the minor stuff in the kitchen, everything else was great, thank you!

Peaceful and perfect
The cabin was a perfect spot for reflection and slowing down to enjoy the rhythms of nature. The setting is idyllic and the beach access a big plus. We made a trip to a nearby QFC very easily and didn't feel wanting for anything. The cabin interior was lovely - nicely appointed with an open layout. You can tell this is a home that is shared, as opposed to a rental unit no one cares about. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful until we ran out of water.
Wonderful property and Cabin. Outstanding views, quiet location. Worth sleeping on the sofa bed (which really wasn't that bad). LOVED THIS PLACE! My big issue is with Vacasa. They handled this situation poorly. I understand well water can be tricky and stuff happens, but their lack of service at the time and post visit is disappointing. We were gone most of our second day and didn't arrive back to the cabin to close to 10:00pm. I took what I admit a long shower. My Partner ran out of water while completely soaped up(totally sucked for him). We realized we were completely out of water, which included the toilet. The book explained they were on a well and that it was automated. At this point its past 11pm so we decided contact Vacasa the morning. Hoping the well would fill by morning. 8am no water contacted Vacasa they said they would get back to us in less than 20 mins. 9am called Vacasa again, and was told again they would contact me back within 20 mins AGAIN. Received a call back from Vacasa around 10am(check out time) instructing us to check out as planned. I received a text message from Vacasa advising I would be receiving a 50 credit because of the water issue. Its been a week and I still have not received any credit even after several emails back and forth from Vacasa. Honestly I am not even sure 50 dollars is even fair, but I am still waiting and now they are not responding. Should of received a 5 start rating, because this cabin was GREAT!

Great Cabin & Location, No True Bed
The property is great! The cabin is cute! The water is beautiful! Somehow we over looked that this cabin does not have a true bed. The listing indicated that there was a king, queen/futon. Which is misleading. Sleeping on a futon is not my idea of a relaxing getaway. I would totally stay again if they put a true bed in the cabin.

Peaceful but could benefit from some drapes
My boyfriend and I just got done staying here for 4 days. It's a cozy little place set up as a downstairs with a bathroom and a decent size loft upstairs. There's so many windows, you're never short of a view, including from your neighbors on either side... There's not a single curtain in any window which makes changing clothes quite the task as basically anywhere in the home, the windows can be looked through by the neighbors if they wanted to, including in the bedroom area in the loft. Furthermore, I made reservations when the listing still listed the home as having two beds, it has since been appropriately changed to 1 Futon and 1 Hide-a-bed. The futon is small, only fitting one person and the hide-a-bed is approximately the size of a full sized mattress, so we'll say it's a cozy fit for a couple. A couple other reasons behind my 3 star review: -The provided bed linens don't fit the mattress, particularly the fitted sheet which was a slight inconvenience. -Although the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, a lot of the dishes were dirty as we pulled them out of the cupboard. -The bathroom is very small and the toilet is awkwardly tucked kitty corner next to the sink and behind the shower, leaving very little wiggle room. - On our second day we noticed that the downstairs rug started to smell faintly of dog urine (we didn't bring any pets, so I'm assuming there was a mess that didn't get properly cleaned up from the previous guests) Aside from that we had a wonderful time. We combed the beach daily when the tide was out and played in the tide pools. The downstairs is stocked with history of the house and loaded with fun tourist activity ideas which I thought was a nice touch.
