Clematis Cottage is a beautiful 1880's stone house in the peaceful hamlet of Trelights, close to the stunning sandy beaches of Polzeath and the Camel Estuary and the historic fishing villages of Port Quinn, Port Gaverne and Port Isaac, home to the Fishermans Friends and the setting for the hugely popular TV series Doc Martin.
Lovingly restored by its owners over the past 4 years, the house has bags of style and character with slate flagstone floors dominating the ground floor, a see through woodburner (loadable from either room) separates the cosy lounge from the open kitchen dining area.
The well stocked kitchen is a foodies delight, with most staple ingredients for cooking already supplied.
Through the kitchen stable door there is a sunny outside seating area perfect for a little breakfast or an evening G&T
Upstairs the bathroom is a large one for a house of this size, we love it , it's modern yet traditional and has a nice big walk in shower or a lovely big bath to relax in.
The Bedrooms both have original wooden flooring, there are new mattresses on beds, both super comfy, the largest room has a queen and the other is a double. Both rooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space.
We love our pets and welcome you to bring yours to Clematis Cottage, It's a dog walkers paradise out there folks!
We are so proud of our little house and the work we have done, we want you to enjoy it too, have a lovely stay
We also offer a coastal foraging service;
Dream of catching a wild sea bass or grilling up some fresh mackerel? Teasing a lobster or brown crab from its hiding place, picking the hugest, cleanest mussels from the rocks? I know where to find the most amazing prawns, Marsh and Rock samphire and can teach your kids all the rock pooling skills they could need for a lifetime ..... just get in touch, no need to bring anything as we have all the kit you need
