Cozy cottage with natural fire place!

Located right at the tip of the thumb is Port Austin which is a perfect location for watching both the sunrise and the sunset over Lake Huron. Port Austin has many hiking trails including the distinct Turnip Rock. Peaceful and centrally-located cottage on the south side of M25. Just minutes from downtown Port Austin and Caseville. Rental available in all seasons. Summer is the favorite, come up during the fall to see the color change, the snow is beautiful in the winter and it’s VERY quiet.
The space has 2 bedrooms with 3 beds and full bathroom with tub and shower. Full kitchen and dining area with 6 person table. Family room offers 1 couch, 1 love seat, rocking chair and fire place. Washing machine and dryer available for guest use.

Lovely cottage
Loved our stay at the cottage with all the necessities of home and close proximity to everything. We enjoyed walking the sandy beach with shallow water, kayaking, biking and exploring the area. Port Austin is a quaint town.

The house and room sizes were perfect for the family for our stay. One thing that was inconvenient was the bathroom toilet. It’s a low toilet and there is nothing near it to use to get up for older adults like a vanity counter or bar.

Perfect Girls’ Getaway
We have been friends for 40 years & wanted a fun, relaxing weekend where we could catch up since we live several states away from each other. The cabin was a halfway point for us and exactly what we were looking for! Clean, great location, perfect size for the 2 of us. Thanks so much for telling us about the Northern Lights! We were able to view them and took some amazing pics! This was the first time either of us had stayed in MI too, so I got to check off another state I have now visited. Highly recommend!

THE Place to Stay at the Tip of the Thumb!
Such a comfortable cozy cottage! Everything we needed and then some! Wonderful woodstove added to the ambiance (not the main source of heat)! Within walking distance of the great trails and beach at Port Crescent State Park. No guarantee, of course, but we saw, perhaps,the Best Sunset of our lives, from the breakwater at Port Austin. The incredible The Farm restaurant is only 3 miles away. Happened to be a birthday weekend for one of us--couldn't have been happier!!!

Super cute. Liked having washer and dryer even if we didn’t use them. It does need shades on kitchen, dining and living rm. Liked the outdoor fire pit even if we didn’t use it. It has a lot of great qualities. Very nice owner.

Adorable cottage conveniently located!
I rent a place in port Austin every year for the weekend that Halloween camping takes place at nearby Port Crescent State park. My extended family camps, I enjoy the day and fires with them and then go sleep in a warm, comfortable bed 😊. The cottage was clean, plenty of small amenities provided (I don’t want to bring my own bedding towels etc and all those are provided!) My 5 month old grandson came with is for the first time and there was plenty of room for his portacrib and allll the baby stuff. A very short drive to the camping area. Great place, highly recommend!

Family Togetherness
We were looking for a place to get away from home to spend some much needed downtime. I selected this place due to the nice comments shared by other guests. I was not disappointed! This place was perfectly located to the lake, putt-putt was within walking distance, with homemade ice cream, and a dark skies observation location was literally across the road. Our Vrbo hosts thought of all the details and we felt like we were at home. One of our favorite moments was teaching our college age daughter how to play Euchre like a true Michigander. The cottage was clean,cute and comfortable. We didnt have a campfire,it was too hot but there are cool lights wrapped around trees out back. Very nice. It was an easy distance to attend a wedding at the lovely Glen Royal Barn.
