Our group was a family of 6 adults, so we knew it would be a little snug and restroom coordination. We loved eating out on the deck for every meal. The location is quiet and easy to access. Check in and out was seamless. Would recommend!
We loved it here! Immaculately clean, very comfortable and surprisingly spacious for our family of four. Exactly as advertised, plus little touches everywhere make this one of the best-appointed rentals we’ve stayed in. Hope to come back someday.
Great location central to Olympic NP. Beautiful Lake Sutherland view with access, hot tub, great patio. House provided with nice extras. We enjoyed our stay.
This was the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in!! Location was great for our daily ventures in the area, the lake was gorgeous and the kayaks were so much fun!! Relaxing hot tub, beautiful deck and comfortable beds. This place had everything we needed and even items that we thought we might need, but didn’t bring( floats for the lake, life jackets, lounge chairs). I will definitely book this lake house if I ever come back to this area, thanks so much!!!
This lodging was the perfect home base location to access various areas of Olympic National Park, and not spend all of our time driving. It a great location! Very clean, quiet, private, comfortable, and a great view.

Pleasent
We enjoyed the house- The TV was a bit difficult but you were there to help us and that was good. As you did mention the Higway is quite busy and hanging outside is tough. Great location, nice house overall.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lookout Lodge. It was a great spot. We explored lake Crescent that day, grabbed lunch at Granny’s cafe, and then explored some more before checking in. The layout of the house was great. It was clean and very cute! Thoughtful touches everywhere. Beds were comfortable and everyone reported sleeping well.
Loved that we walked in and it smelled CLEAN. Very cute little house with all the necessary amenities. (Maybe could use a shelf in the bathrooms, though) The deck has a beautiful view! Happy that we chose this place.
I hate to even write a glowing review so as to give this away to others lol. We had such a wonderful stay, exactly as described - the dock and lake access are perfect, the property itself was clean, the beds were super comfy, the kitchen is really well stocked with condiments, spices, oils. We cooked in several meals and ate on the gorgeous patio overlooking the lake. The road noise really didn’t bother us at all. There is a general store across the street which was really convenient. The walk to the lake isn’t far, but a bit uphill on the way back. Perfect location to access lake crescent and merymere falls but I don’t know why you would leave lake Sutherland!
My family (2 adults, 3 kids) had a very enjoysble and comfortable stay at the Lookout Lodge. Location was great for Port Angeles/Olympic National Park and Crescent Lake. Lake Sutherland is so clear, the kayaks abailable were well kept and having life jackets in severla sozes was clutch. We have rented many homes but there were a few things that made this one stand out (1) owners were SUPER quick with responses (2) quaility stuff in the house, especially the kitchen (3) welL stocked in general like condiments, toiletries, towels, games, etc.
Definitely recommend for families. You will need a car big enough to get kayaks to lake (not far at all!) otherwise youll be all set.
This property is very cute and was great for a quick one night stay with my husband and 14 year old son. The view of the lake off the back deck is gorgeous. The only issue was the loud road noise made it difficult to sit outside and enjoy the view, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The house is lovely. My son enjoyed having the bunk room all to himself. We had everything we needed for a quick stay.
I debated writing a review of this place because I didn't want others to know how lovely this place is! If I could give six stars I would. We loved staying here to celebrate our anniversary and enjoy Olympic National Park! We were greeted with champagne and trail mix. The backyard and view of the lake was stunning. The bed was comfy and the house was a perfect landing spot for us on our week of adventures. Highly recommend!!
We were very pleasantly surprised by this property. It was in a great location -- overlooking Lake Sutherland and just off 101. The deck was delightful for hanging out. The inside was perfect--nicely decorated with a very homey vibe. It had everything we needed and very clear instructions for where things were and what we should do before we left.
What I always like are the special touches: The lights on the porch turned on with an automatic timer without us searching for a switch. The shower was fabulous; the water was soft and hot! The owner responded quickly to my phone message when I had internet connection issues. Plus you can't beat the meals at Granny's Cafe, only a couple miles down the road. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Wish We Could’ve Stayed Longer - There’s so much to see and do
This was such a great location for all things Olympic National Park and the view at the property was incredible. The kayaks were a nice surprise and we enjoyed paddling around Lake Sutherland. We also did some bird watching. Oh, and the coffee was a nice touch. We debated on buying some before we made it there, but decided we’d be ok without it. So glad we decided against it as there was a small Lookout Lodge coffee bag on the counter. 😊 There was a complimentary bottle of champagne in the fridge, but we’re not drinkers, so we left it for the next crew. Only thing we wished we had was a washer and dryer after our dip in the hot tub, but that’s not a deal breaker. We definitely recommend staying here. There were four of us, and while the shower arrangement was a bit odd (it’s located in the main bedroom bathroom), we made it work. The owners were great to work with and the ease of check in and check out was great. Thanks again for sharing your space with us!
