We stayed at this house July 2-8 and used it as a home base for two families exploring the Olympic Peninsula. This was a great location, 5 minutes from the entrance to the the park and then close enough to explore more of the part Lake Crescent (30 min), Hoh Rainforest (2 hr), and Rialto Beach (1.5 hr) on daily excursions. Port Angeles was a good home base location with a nearby grocery store and restaurants (although it was hard to find a table late on a summer day).
The house is exceptionally clean. The furniture is new and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked for us to easily cook dinner and breakfast for parents and lots of kids. Appliances are new and easy to use. The bedrooms are spacious and arranged with on-suite bathrooms. There are large closets but they lacked dresser, drawer, or hanging options for storing clothes, so we had to live out of suitcases for the week. Bathroom widows need curtains, especially by the front door. There was no recycling bin.
The listing is very accurate and lists "heating" but not A/C. We happened to be there for some of the hottest days of the year, and we returned to the house very hot. The wall thermostat has a A/C option, but actually there is no A/C. The owner was contacted and tried to turn on the A/C but there is no compressor. For most other weeks of the year, this would not be a problem. The owner delivered 3 box fans to put in the windows for help cool the house.
It was great place to stay for our OP trip.
