Perched near the calm waters of Lake Sutherland, this adorable hideaway will be just the place to kick back and relax in style. Boasting a spacious deck and a fun lofted layout, there will be no delay in feeling right at home in no time. Start each day with a mug of coffee in the fresh air as you plan a full day of lake fun. Before heading out to explore, take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and whip up a tasty breakfast for the whole gang. There will be no delay in taking a dip or launching kayaks, as a shared dock awaits just 450 feet away. When you return each evening, the private gas grill will assist in family cookouts as the sun goes down.

If a quiet getaway is what you are after, this is just the place to get away from it all while still being close to outdoor recreation! When days heat up, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and swimming in Lake Sutherland or Lake Crescent both mere minutes from your front door. If a hike is on the agenda, head over to Marymere Falls Trail nine miles from home base and catch a unique glimpse of the area. Not to mention, heading into the heart of Port Angeles is always a great idea when everyone wants a bite to eat or a shopping day at local shops just 15 miles north.

THINGS TO KNOW
This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.
Guests don't have access to the woodstove.
The ladder going up to the loft is brand new and has a 200 lb weight limit.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Dock details: The HOA shared dock is located across the road, Rustic Lane, just 450 feet from the home. Please see the Sutherland Lake Access map posted in the home for details. Please be respectful of the neighbors lawns and follow the path that is marked on the map.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Stay at the lake
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The location was great and the views very beautiful. It was a great place to get away. To be completely honest we thought the bed (downstairs bedroom) and the futon in the family room were pretty uncomfortable. It is a great place to stay if you are planning to be out of the house for most of your trip, but I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to be hanging at the house most of the time.

Lovely lakeside cabin
Very beautiful, clean, and well-appointed place. The lake is gorgeous and having access to the shared dock and kayaks is really nice (as were the fishing poles). Not having a washer/dryer or dishwasher is my only complaint, but all in all we had a very lovely time.

Not clean and check the kayaks for holes - beware.
The house location is amazing, but it was not clean (mold) and one of the kayaks had a big hole so be sure to check before going on the water. If they were more responsive about the issues, I would have given a better rating because the location and the view were 100%.

Good location for hiking around Olympic.
Quaint cabin with a nice view of the lake. Tiny kitchen but it had everything we needed. Kids loved the loft bedroom. TV with DVD player. A few games and puzzles. 3 kayaks and life jackets in all sizes. Queen bed was very comfortable after a day of hiking.

This is a nice basic cabin in a lovely location. Minor issues like spots in the ceiling of the shower, and a keurig but no coffee pods. It had two other coffee makers and a small bag of regular coffee, but no decaf and no cream or sugar.

Cute little house
It’s small and comfortable. The bed in the main room is very loud when you move on it. It was loud enough to wake my husband and baby when simply rolling on to my side. There maybe some rodent issues happening right now there as well. The lake access was our main reason for this selection and other than a weird lady there following us around one of the days it was fine. We had a lot of fun on the lake. The ceiling fan in the house doesn’t work so the house was very hot for our stay.

Lovely Lake Sutherland
Loved our getaway to this darling cabin. Everything we needed to enjoy the lake and relax after exploring ONP hiking the high divide and Seven Lakes Basin. Just 50 minutes to the Sol Duc trailhead, this cabin has both a great location and comfortable beds, amenities and the lake for relaxing post-hike. Would love to go back!

Magical lake house for lasting memories.
If you are looking for a charming, romantic, and rustic yet clean with everything in proper working order, this is the place! Our whole family was so in love with this space. The fact that it is one row up from the water actually made it feel more private and remote. Busiest summer season and hardly anyone walking by the area as they all go straight down to the dock. Which was easy enough for us to carry kayaks down with our 10 y.o. no stress. Plus the bonus feature of the rushing creek behind thag drowned out the noise of motorized watercraft. Beautiful, peaceful, everything worked properly. Clean!! Fast hot water with good water pressure. If you want to give your family that awesome experience of days at the lake "when you were a kid" this is the place!!! Games in the house, kayaks, life jackets, grill, fire ring, fishing gear...a TV with awesome DVD collection but u probably won't need it! All the necessary amenities for cooking a family dinner. Perfect halfway distance btw Port Angeles/Hurricane Ride and Lake Crescent area hiking for those on an NP Adventure. Love! Our family was visiting from Hawaii but yall got true paradise here on Lake Sutherland!

Lovely cabin by a scenic private lake
My only concern booking this property was that it might be a bit cramped. This was not the case at all. Plenty of room for the four of us. Nice open kitchen, dining room, living room area with a comfortable couch. Lovely furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare coffee and a few simple meals. Views of the lake are spectacular and proximity to ONP can't be beat. Previously I had booked at the Lake Crescent Lodge but this is an upgrade in every sense and much more private.

The perfect vacation. Was peaceful quite and very cozy. Definitely what we where looking for. Only two bad thing one the trash can was full when we got there. We had to leave our trash out the can. Two we couldn’t fine the washers like it states is has them. Other the. That perfect cozy home.

Cozy and simple
Location is great for visiting the park. Enjoyed watching stars at night from the deck. Cozy and simple. The place could use a few dollars thrown at it in terms of kitchen supplies, upgrades on the towels, and the bed creaks comically loud. But overall it was a great base for our visit to the national park.

Unfortunately I found the property to not have been cleaned very well- visible pet fur on the floor, dirty towels in the clean folded towel stack in the bathroom, and not as pictured- bathroom not pictured in the listing and it was not very nice in quality and cleanliness. Bed was so squeaky we couldn't turn over in the night without waking up constantly. Property management reached out to me when I got there asking if it was clean and why I said no, they said they could send someone out to clean it but I felt like that would have been a big inconvenience for us. Ultimately, just kind of disappointed considering it was also expensive, I would have expected a better experience without having to go out of my way to let a cleaner interrupt our stay.

Great view!
Great location and the view is lovely! Really enjoyed the deck and fire pit! Kayaks are a bonus. Neighbors were friendly and enjoyed conversations with them. The bed downstairs does squeak every time you move. The kitchen pans could use an upgrade. Overall, would stay there again.

Vacation at Lake Southerland
My family and I really enjoyed our vacation here. The cabin has huge windows so you have awesome views of the lake from almost anywhere inside the cabin. We love being able to sit out on the deck in the mornings and enjoy our coffee and roast hotdogs and marshmallows at the fire pit at night. It was a super short walk to the shared dock which made it easy for us to bring our stuff down to the lake so we could swim, take the canoes out on water or just relax and lay out in the sun. There’s a Safeway about 15 minutes away in town which made it easy for us to buy groceries and prepare our own food at the cabin. Night time was super peaceful and relaxing as activities quieted down on the lake, you could hear the waterfall in the distance. Super awesome vacation and we’re already planing our trip for next summer!
