Chalet in the woods
We only stayed for one night but the property is magnificent. Communication with the host was flawless. Multiple texts detailing the procedures for checking in. Use Apple Maps for accurate directions. It’s a bit off the beaten path. Host sent a link for google maps. Google maps will not take you there. The price is my only negative with this property.

Picturesque Chalet
The Terra Vista Chalet was very clean, we stayed in the sequoia room. Water in the shower got hot immediately, good water pressure as well. Communication with the property manager was excellent, very responsive and helpful with plenty of detail. The only downside is that the walls are extremely thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. With that being said, I still give it a 5/5. Close to forks and lake crescent as well which is why we chose it!

Chalet in the woods
This cute little chalet was exactly as described, clean and peaceful. You could hear the water from the lake and we also had a few visitors (deer). If we're ever in Washington again, its the place to stay on the forest.

Cozy and picturesque
The Chalet definitely has a mountain cabin kind of feel. I loved the gas fireplace feature, and the microwave/fridge/coffee station in the room were all very helpful to facilitate a quick and quiet breakfast in the morning. There was a ton of communication via text from the host leading up to our check in time, more than I expected, but it was all very clear and answered pretty much any question we could possibly have. The only slightly unsettling element was that we discovered a large brown spider inside one of the windows, which took us a while to figure out how to dispose of carefully. Didn’t feel great to deal with that first thing, but after that everything went smoothly.

I brought my 18yo daughter to Washington’s Olympic peninsula and San Juan Islands as an adventure getaway from the LA area for her highschool graduation. Staying at this Chalet was HER highlight on the Peninsula! Lush rainforest feeling surrounds the chalet. The owner’s daughter was in the driveway when we drove up, who explained how to adventure down through the forest to the river, and how to go for a run down the road into the national forest entry point for a carpeted AMAZING trailrun!! The decor was perfection, and to our taste and comfort. :). My ONLY regret about this chalet, is that we wasted a night staying somewhere else the previous night, In Port Townsend! I wish I knew how incredible the nestled location was so I could have made a better decision to stay there 2 nights.
