Poperinge was very quite during the week, with a very limited choice of bars and restaurants.
For four guys cycling around Ypres and the area it was fine for our needs with room to store our bikes off the road. The property was quirky and split on 3 floors and was a bit tired and dated in places, very 1980s. Disabled access was not possible. The stairs were narrow and steep with loose anti slip mats making them a bit dangerous. The bedrooms had windows which if you opened you had to fit separate anti pigeon/vermin mesh grills! Bed linen and towels were provided which was a bonus and the kitchen was well equipped and had some coffee and tea left for guests. Only problems we experienced when we were there was one of the double beds collapsed in the early hours of the morning for no apparent reason and investigation found it was propped up on wooden blocks. The handle came off the inside of one of the bedroom doors, trapping one of us inside - good laugh at the time but lethal if a fire broke out. We all said we would stay there again but the things we mentioned would need to be addressed first!
