"Had higher expectations - but all in all was okay. The actually chalet was nice and clean and spacious even if only 20 square meters. Kids animation and staff was grand. Cars on premise are not allowed - but the train that was the only form of transportation around the resort only passed by every 20 to 30 minutes which was annoying. "Good: Really clean. The blind, when it worked, was almost back out. Couldn't ask for a better location - some reviews say it's dodgy but I felt it was cultural of people of different nationalities to be in the street. The internet was strong and I was on the top floor. Good place to see new year fireworks - there is a rooftop terrace. Mg room 721 has a huge window ledge to put items. "The beach area is nice with plenty of loungers and gazebos. They have a bar and restaurant there which serves good seafood. The hotel rooms are a little tired, I would say 4 star not 5 as they have paper cups in the rooms not glasses or cups. The bed was comfortable and the fridge was stocked with juices and water. "Great hotel with lots of history and character. Excellent location, we walked from the airport and left by walking to train station. Nice breakfast selection. Bit noisy on a Sat night but we were lucky to have a room that faced onto to the river. Would stay again."

"Great location, walkable from the train station. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. First night we got a room by the elevator, and it was very loud. Asked the desk to be moved and they happily moved my wife and I to a very quiet room. I would recommend this hotel. Great location, very clean, and excellent staff. "

"The stay was lovely, the property was clean and had all the required kitchen facilities. The owner was superb and very welcoming. You really need car hire to stay at this location as it was quite isolated. "

"Nice quiet spot in the woods but very close to San Gimignano. Very clean. Comfortable beds. They don’t provide towels or soaps, but that is clear up front. You can rent towels if you want and they sell soap/ shampoo in the office. "

"Our host was exceptional! Usually she was on the premise but if not was easy to contact with any questions. She came in early for our early check in! Had plenty of recommendations not only about San Gimignano but surrounding towns. She made us a reservation for New Year's Eve having to call several to get us a spot! The location was perfect as it was close to everything, especially the unloading area! Although a breakfast was not available we were able to get a discount at the recommended bar which was very close. We would say there again in a heartbeat! Thanks for a great stay."

"Castelfalfi is a tucked away paradise in Tuscany. I was genuinely wowed from the moment I stepped in the lobby. Besides the beautiful views and the amazing rooms, one of the best parts was the service. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, at home, and fully taken care of. The little details and surprises every day were amazing. Thank you Benjamin for upholding the perfection of hospitality! I would also like to call out the restaurant thats right in the hotel. Every dinner was spectacular. The specials each night were to die for!! I am normally not a big hotel breakfast girl but everything was amazing each morning and they remembered all of my preferences after day one. I recommend doing the wine tour early in your stay so you can try all of their wines made on property, pick your favs, and order them throughout your stay. Lastly the spa is beautiful and the massages are so professional and well done! "
