"Very welcoming from a call to discuss parking and check correct room was available to arriving and being meet and shown property etc. Breakfast has a good choice of cereals and toast with all the condiments and yoghurts. Very clean and modern rooms. "

"This is a gem of a b and b! Lovely location but very convenient for York and the outlet. Catherine is very contactable and responsive. Breakfast was fabulous. We will be back. We had a meal at The Nags Head in Askham Bryan which was lovely. Couldn’t get a taxi though so book ahead if you can"

"Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy"

"Great place to stop over The barn is nice and our room was spacious and clean (we were given the easy accessable room). The wet room was a bonus so enjoyed the shower and space. The small patio are would be great in the summer to enjoy the beautiful views of the fields. You will share the entrance and hallway with other guests. "Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."
