"Fabulous hotel with an excellent staff! Our room looked out onto the beach and was picture perfect! Comfortable bed, AC, fridge. Really excellent! Wish there were better restaurants in town. Try to reserve one of the four parking spots owned by the hotel."

"The hotel was very nice with friendly staff. A great location with easy walking distance to the beach and seafront shops restaurants and bars. An excellent place as bade camp to go out and explore. We had a first floor sea view room the higher up you are the better the view. Last day we had breakfast on our balcony watching the surfers. "

"If you like retro its the original retro hotel, all period features not touched in years. The little extras like for extra bed thats already in the room, that you cant get round easily to go on "balcony"."

"This tiny little house was perfect for our holiday. The resort of pontaillac was a few mins walk with great restos, boulangers etc. The dogs loved the beach. Sadly today they can no longer use the beach until october. Great location close to st palais sur mer, iles d olereon, re, aix, la rochelle. Will defo return. Highly recommended"

"This hotel is the definition of “you get what you pay for” - reasonably priced in a great location, with an excellent breakfast and very good staff, so what’s missing? Firstly, the hotel has no parking and the streets all around are full of cars looking for a parking space…we spent 40 minutes looking and ended up 15 minutes walk from hotel. Next, WiFi - despite hotel saying it’s available the service doesn’t connect reliably and drops out constantly. Third, the rooms are small - although the bathroom is adequate and there’s a tiny balcony. Fourth, there’s no A/C. So that’s are the downside…the upside is location - the beach is directly across the road in front of the hotel and is a fine sandy beach that shelves gently into the water and is safe for kids. The boat harbour and ferries are a five minute walk with lots of bars and restaurants and the fabulous town market is a ten minute walk and a must-see. There’s also a spectacular walking path that follows the cliff tops north all the way round to the Casino - about three kms so if you lose all your money you can walk back to the hotel. Highly recommended. "
