"This was our first Christmas to be just the two of us in 20 years of being together. The cabin was clean and well furnished. This by far was the cabin with more to offer than I have ever seen. There is a large book and DVD collection. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and spices and everyday needs. We hung out at the cabin on Christmas Day and then ventured into Salida on the day after Christmas. This is an amazing area and the views are just stunning. "

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely property with our dog for a quick ski trip to Monarch over new years. The property was the perfect size, perfect location and is managed by amazing hosts. We noticed a slight cleaning issue and when brought up the host, Bill, was great to work with and assured the issue was taken care of. The property is in a great location, a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to downtown. We would highly recommend it! "

"The view, the views and the view! Perfect. Winter getaway. The husky was able to run around the fenced yard and play in the snow. It was wonderfully quiet and perfect to spend some time with loved ones. I can only imagine the beauty in the summer and fall."

"Our family had a great time with our stay. Just a few short miles away from Monarch. Accommodations we perfect. Beautiful property set up on the mountainside. Lots of great memories to take away. Dont take recommendation off having tire chains lightly. You'll need them in the winter. Luckily walmart had a set. Would 100% stay again. Only complaint is that itbwas scorching hot inside when we arrived and we all had a hard time sleeping the first night. Other than that, it was perfect."

Rick is a wonderful host. Very flexible and easy to reach if needed. We were blessed to find one of the coolest places in Colorado to make memories with our daughters!"

"Rented the cabin for my anniversary weekend in November. We didn't see a single other person, which I enjoyed, but I'm sure it's a wildly different experience in-season. The stream and woods were right out our door, and we had some nice little walks. Looks like a lot of bigger hiking opportunities nearby, but we didn't go far. "Cute house right on the river. We loved the hot tub on the deck looking at the river. Also loved the high ceiling in the family/TV room with a big couch so we could all hang out together. Small kitchen but had everything we needed. A short 10 min drive to Buena Vista with restaurants and shops. We skied at monarch which was great - about 40 min drive. Stopped in Salida a couple times for dinner - cute little mountain town! Highlight of the trip was Mount Princeton hot springs, just 10 min away....
