"Very last minute booking. Recently my mother passed away and I was feeling very down, so my husband booked a surprise trip for me, so we could go to my favourite place in Cornwall. Wonderful greeting when we arrived in the pouring rain, lovely staff (Mandy) and when we needed something a little later on, again, a fantastic reception(Jo),so helpful. In the morning we explained to one of the staff (Mel) that I’d lost mum, as she could see I was upset. How wonderful she was with me, so, so kind. All the staff were very caring. Honestly wish I’d not been so upset but I guess that’s life, but all the staff were absolutely amazing and so understanding. The room was great, with lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom and a fab shower too. Very clean and tidy room and a comfy bed. And the breakfast was amazing too, along with great views of the golf course. We will definitely return and a big shout out to the wonderful staff. "

"We were impressed with the warmth of the hospitality we received at this quaint hotel. The gentleman opened the pool just for us for a quick dip even though it was closing very soon. The pool was so warm , especially in the pouring rain - lovely fun. The staff were very smiley, genuine, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend "

"Another wonderful stay here! Room was clean and tidy, couldn't fault it at all. Products available also amazing. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash all top notch! Service a little slow at breakfast and dinner but food was yummy. Overall an amazing stay!"

"The site is beautifully kept and very pretty. The accommodation and facilities was clean and well presented, although needed some TLC in places. Great flow rider.We had more than enough space for two adults and two teenagers in a 4 berth lodge and everything we needed. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Great lication for visiting the rest of Cornwall. We would definitely visit again."

"Absolutely amazing. A fantastic location, wonderful atmosphere. A last minute booking and we hit the jackpot! A little gold nugget, hidden in Cornwall. Staff were 10/10. Nothing was too much. Really can’t think of anymore words to describe just what gem this place is. ……actually one last thing, full English breakfast (included in price) was excusite!! 👍"

"Staff and rooms were excellent - only disappointment for me was no alternative pillows- they were feather filled and to soft for me I prefer a firmer one - also a lot of building work going off nearby which isnt anything to do with the pier house but consequently it looks very untidy and denies access to the pier itself ! "
