"Once over the threshold, it is both welcoming & engaging. There is a real “ personal “ touch & the owners are so “ hands on”& this care filters down through all their Staff. "Wonderful hotel in scenic Pitlochry. Our room was delightful and the bed was soooo comfortable. The breakfast room was beautiful. The sitting room off of the lobby was so warm and cozy with the fireplace burning. Great location. Breakfasts are all cooked to ordered. Excellent food but slow. We loved Pitlochary and hope to come back. "

"This was a charming stay. We loved the house and our room … very pretty and spacious enough with good natural light. Breakfast was very tasty and the owner was quite friendly. He shared many tips of things to see in the area during our short stay and following his tips helped give us a fondness for this town and area of Scotland. We hope to stay there again sometime soon. "Our stay was exceptional. From check the staff were amazing. Friendly helpful couldn't do enough for you. Room was beautiful. Very clean with everything you would need for a stay. Had a meal in the restaurant witch was again above expectation. Again the staff were excellent. Overall can't fault our stay. Definitely 5 stars. Definitely be back and would highly recommend "

"This is a First Class Guest House - we had Suite 11 and it was fantastic - a professional greeting from the owner Gary who was super helpful, great facilities, great location, great value - cannot recommend Craigatin enough ( special shout out for their amazing breakfast !!! )"

"Old building with visible signage that it is about to be refurbished. Staff were excellent, very friendly very efficient as was the food. Apart from the repairs required that are in hand this is a nice hotel with very friendly staff in a location well within walking distance of all amenities within Pitlochry. "

However, we were a bit disappointed because we had booked and prepaid the 5-course tasting menu for diner at the hotel restaurant, which was canceled by the hotel, without any communication to us. "

One night isn't enough!

"Despite only being available for the first night of a weekend break, the lure of staying at the Atholl Palace Hotel couldn't be resisted. We arrived long before we could check in at 3.30pm, so time was spent using the luxury spa facilites and in the bar. We also had a good wander through the wee museum, which was fascinating! The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was spacious and wonderfully decorated, and the bed extremely comfortable. The buffet breakfast was delicious, with so much choice available. Definitely one for a revisit in the future, for more than one though next time!"
