"Front desk staff was downright rude, wasn’t greeted or addressed, was made to wait for no reason and had to listen to the fron desk Cleak complain about how little money the hotel received. "Hotel was well placed for the bus to Wernigerode ( free courtesy of tourist tax on arrival), castle, coffee shops and town. It has it's own nice comfortable dining/bar area in a big courtyard which we used to eat Indonesian food and German food plus drinks . We also walked to a fish restaurant for dinner and the Brauhaus on the way to the market square . It's very picturesque walking round town. "Stayed a couple of nights, and it was a very pleasant moment. Staff was nice and friendly. The bed and bathroom was perfectly clean and tidy. The hotel & restaurant is located within a residential area. There is an old monumental building just across the hotel. Breakfast was excellent."

"The hotel rooms are in major need of modernisation, extremely dated by modern standards. I think it is the only hotel where there as been a corby trouser press in the room. The room itself was very hot and there was no fan in the room. The pillows were just awful, they just disappeared into nothing when you put your head on them. "
