Great little family run bed and breakfast. Nothing fancy. Perfect place to stay while you enjoy the lake and the region. Excellent breakfast. Julia speaks excellent English and was very helpful and friendly. Very quiet at night, some noise from the street in the morning. 5 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute walk to the beach (free access if you stay 3+ nights), 20 minute hike up a hill to a wonderful viewpoint. Various local cafes and restaurants. Nearby Klagenfurt 15 minutes by train was a pleasant surprise with an almost Mediterranean feel combined with Austrian perfection. This region is a hidden gem!

A quiet and friendly hotel with large rooms
We stayed at Residenz Lapeiner for a week as I was competing in the Ironman. Being an athlete, I have specific nutrition needs and so I was provided with a mini fridge in the room. Although the location is a little far from the race start, it is next by the train station of Pörtschach am Wörthersee whose train takes you into the centre of Klagenfurt. My knowledge of German is limited but the owners also speak English and were very helpful whenever I had a question. The Residence is perfectly located to access the lake to swim or do any other activities, within 5 minutes we were at the local Schwimmbad on the lake shore which was FREE thanks to the cards provided to us by the hotel, a nice touch, thank you! It is situated across the road from a delicious patisserie - Wienerroiter - www.wienerroither.com serving amazing cakes and coffee. It's also close to several shops, restaurants and a BILA supermarket. The room was spotless and cleaned without fail every day. The breakfast was very good too with a selection of local cheeses, cured meets, vegetables, fruits, smoothies, yogurts as well as breads and pastries, all very fresh and well presented. Further options are available on demand and cooked on the spot if you wish. A small detail, we're coffee and tea addicts, there wasn't a kettle in the room. The reception is not open 24 hours a day so if you need to make a request you must do so at breakfast time.

Beautiful Gästehaus experience.
I believe this is one of the best places to stay in the region. Stephan and his crew are amazing people. The provide a guest experience that has sometimes been lost in the busy world we live in. The breakfast was amazing every morning. They accommodated our early work schedule and provided an excellent environment. The social time we spent with Stephan was one for the ages. He's a very personable host. Thank you again for a great business experience.

Located at busy Main Street; very close to noisy railroad with traffic during night. Due to lack of air conditioning open window at night necessary. No elevator for third floor (American), second floor (European). Good parking. Friendly hostess.

Da man seinen Urlaub ja nicht den ganzen Tag im Zimmer verbringt, war die Unterkunft okay. Zimmer und vorallem Garten sind renovierungsbedürftig - aber nicht schmutzig. Frühstück war auch gut.

Отель рядом с жд станцией. Красивый старинный особняк. Номер хороший, есть и кондиционер и вентилятор. Что касается шума от дороги, то после Москвы это неактуально. Очень вкусные завтраки, персонал делает все для комфортного отдыха. Выдается озерная карта, Пользовались для входа на пляж+скидка на экскурсию на Госсглокнер.

Super Lage und außergewöhnliches Frühstück!!!!!!!!
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in Pörtschach und besticht neben Sauberkeit und gehobener Ausstattung vor allem durch die Herzlichkeit die sich vor allem in einem außergewöhnlichen Frühstück widerspiegelt!!! Als Vielreisende war ich mehr als positiv von der Reichhaltigkeit aber vor allem von der Herzlichkeit der Zubereitung und der Wertschätzung der zumeist regionalen BIO-Lebensmittel begeistert.

Ein gemütliches, familiäres Hotel, wo der Gast nicht nur König sondern Kaiser ist. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Es gibt ein wunderbares Frühstück, dem man anmerkt, dass es mit Liebe aus lokalen Produkten hoher Qualität zubereitet wurde.

Piu che ottimo, ci torneremo in primavera
esperienza in tutto molto positiva, hotel fronte lago tranquillo e comodo per qualsiasi escursione con pochi km ti porti nelle citta più importanti. Gestito da una coppia molto giovane ma cordiale e molto disponibile. La colazione era un vero e proprio pranzo fornivano di tutto dal dolce al salato. Molto curato il buffet

Siamo arrivati durante il weekend dell'Immacolata e l'atmosfera della sala, che funge da reception e stanza della colazione, era davvero accogliente così come i giovani ragazzi dello staff, molto affabili che ci hanno accolto offrendoci i biscottini dell'Avvento e un caldo e profumato vino brulé! L'unica nota negativa è rappresentata dai corridoi piuttosto freddi.

Nett restauriertes Haus aus dem Jahr 1875 mit großen beheizbaren Zimmern. Die Besitzer des Hotels sind zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit, sehr freundlich und voller Zukunftsvisionen. Das Frühstück ist etwas Besonderes, da es durch viele kleine Portionen mundgerecht am liebevoll gestalteten Buffet zur Verfügung steht. Die Produkte sind von regionalen Herstellern und schmecken ausgezeichnet. Es wird u.a. Lachs, Tomaten/Mozzarella, Kräuter/Tomatenaufstrich, Schafskäse mit Oliven, frisch zubereitete Eierspeis mit Gemüse oder weitere Eiervariationen, selbst hergestelltes Joghurt, Müsli, Nüsse, Muffins, Croissants, frisches Obst, Säfte etc. angeboten. Das Gebäck stammt von der gegenüberliegenden Bäckerei. Die Lage ist ebenfalls top, auch ohne Navi ideal zu finden. Alles in allen ein Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
