Economical apartment close to Split
Economical apartment with ocean views away from the crowds. Easy access to Split by bus. Very clean apartment with easy parking. Shop and bakery next door excellent. Only issue for us being a bit out of season was lack of an economical restaurant within walking distance but were visiting out of season. However we cooked so no problem. Owners happy to help with local information. Yes i would stay again.

We really enjoyed our time in an apartment at Villa Javor. We stayed for 6 nights and also requested their transfer from the airport and they were waiting for us on arrival. The apartment we had had a kitchenette and a large balcony. The apartments were across the road and walking distance to the sea. A bakers and a supermarket are right outside and there is a bus stop taking you to Split in about half an hour if you are after more nightlife. Podstrana is a quiet place with long stretches of pebble beaches. We had a lovely time and hope to return in the future.

Great hotel
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at it was close to everything and you can see the beach from the balcony. But not only that the hotel staff where lovely and so helpful they bent over backwards to help and even gave us a free upgrade thank you to the hotel staff I hope to stay with you again very soon

Great value for money
Great clean apartment, staff very helpful. The supermarket and fresh bread shop were located next door. A short walk across the road to the shingle beach were you can find both bars and restaurants. Bus stops very close by with a regular bus service into split

Location is probably ok in the holiday season.
Unfortunately we were not advised that where we stayed most restaurants were closed including The Villa where we booked as it was out of season. We had to walk three kilometres along the beach as the roads are unsafe to walk or get a bus into Split which was a thirty minute journey before we could get anything to eat. The only saviour was a supermarket next door if you wanted to cook everyday.

A real find ...
A real find, set back from the road with a great view, just 2 minutes from the beach. Supermarket & bakery downstairs (perfect for a sneaky croissant!). Bus number 60 stops a few metres away & takes about 25 minutes into Split, for less than £2. Also loads of Uber cars in Split & recommend the old Palace area...stunning. Friendly welcome at Villa Javor & would definitely return there :))

Great value for money
Stayed there as we we're going to a music festival in split and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was exactly what we were wanting and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is about a half an hour bus ride from the city of split for people who would want to go and visit all the historic places and locations. There is a shop under the hotel that is fully stocked with everything you could need and a bakery 1 minutes walk away is also a great addition. The beaches are really close (as you will see if you have a sea view apartment) they are all shingle/ pebble beaches but in parts you can get sun lounges to lie on. There are plenty of sea front cafes/ restaurants that range a little in price but nothing too expensive, we found a great restaurant about a 20 minute walk along the beach called restaurant Jura and would highly recommend that. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and Croatia in general.

Convenient for overnight stop
Free parking and directly on road from split to Dubrovnik but extremely noisy. Road noise, local disco is understandable but guests talking loudly on outside balcony to 4am is another. This seems to have happened a lot according to staff. Beds poor. Bathroom small and shower hand held only working.

The apartment was just as we were expecting - fairly basic but a clean & comfortable base. The room was serviced prior to us checking in however, there was no room service during the stay. We only had a short stay so this was fine for us. The apartment is situated on the main road trough Podstrana and it was easy & cheap (about 12 Kuna each) to catch a bus to Split. Beach is straight across the road. At first there didn't seem to be many restaurants in the area, but if you walk down onto the beach, as opposed to the main road, there are many restaurants along the water. We ate at one of the few restaurants situated on the main road - the 'Diocletian's Palace' (about a 2km walk). There is a supermarket underneath the hotel and the small kitchenette in the apartment was well equipped with kitchenware, such as pots & cutlery for cooking at home. The wifi did not work very well in the rooms, but signal was better in the lobby and hallways.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and overall it was a very pleasant vacation: hotel is clean, it is 5 minutes from a quite&simple beach and if you have a car easy to visit Split or the Makarska riviera. Staff is very kind and speaks good English.

cheap weeks stay on a budget holiday, room was clean had cooking facilities and outside balcony overlooking the sea was a massive bonus after travelling around europe for 3 weeks and staying in hostels. would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to visit split or anywhere along the coast as it has excellent and cheap bus routes all along.

We stayed 1 night before getting the ferry from split to hvar, it was approx 30mins drive from split which wasn't as close as we would have liked but had parking and a supermarket under the building. The room had a balcony with a pretty view and was clean and spacious. The shower was great and aircon a welcome relief from the heat. All in all, not a fancy place to stay but suited our requirements

We stayed only one night and it was fine for the 3 of us. I would bring your own towels because the ones they provided were so stiff that felt like sand paper. The room was large and clean, the balcony was pleasant. We noticed a bit of noise from other rooms at night but with the room AC running we blocked out the sound of the other guests. I would choose something further down the coast if I were to stay in the area again. Something not so close to the city with a better beach and less noise. Overall okay.

Affordable, spacious, and quiet
The hotel has basic amenities that one might expect to find in a cheaper US hotel like a Best Western or Days Inn, minus the soap and shampoo. It is in a nice location near the sea, but not very close to Split, which I believe is the closest major town. It is about 1/4 mile away from a bus stop that will take you to Split for approximately $2 US. The hotel sits atop a small gorcery/convenience store, which will provide you with the goods you need to cook (if you are so inclined) using their provided cookware. Make sure you also bring an outlet converter if you don't have 220V electronics. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they speak English quite well. They were able to help me get around and provided bus timetables. They were also very accomodating when my keys were stolen (they didn't charge me extra though they had to change the locks). In all, this is an affordable and nice place to stay, in a more quiet location than the city of Split or Trogir. Don't expect anything luxurious, but it is spacious, and the staff is great.

Perfect Apartment Hotel
Stayed for a night on our way from Dubrovnik to Linz. Staff was very helpful and accommodating (moving beds around for the kids). Apartments were simple, yet clean and nice, had fridge and/or small kitchen and eating area. Bathrooms were clean and modern with a very good shower. Next to the hotel is one of the better bakeries in the Split area.
