"This hotel in nothing more than several rotted out cabins on the hill. The site says a 2 star hotel, it is not a one star by anyone's measure. If you do not have a jeep 4 wheel drive do not attempt to drive down to the hotel. We booked this and went to the hotel. The area was closed, due to volcanic activity, but since we had a reservation the police let us pass. I started down the road, stopped and walked over 800 meters to the lodge. "Thank you Adrian. You have a beautiful home with such a lovely view and we were surrounded by big blooming hydrangeas. We really enjoyed our stay. We visited the nearby la paz gardens, which was amazing. And we went up to see the poas volcano, which cleared up nicely for us so we get a good look. And of course loved our visits from mani and duke, the resident pups!! A wonderful stay in a beautiful home. "
