The Old Engine House

The Old Engine House is barn conversion within Rowden Court, set amongst the beautiful countryside. This cottage offers a comfortable feel and benefits from a spacious open-plan kitchen. Guests are welcome to make use of the shared, communal 1.5 acre landscaped gardens, tennis court, barbeque area, laundry and games room.
This part of the South Hams, offers many opportunities to explore on foot with the South West Coast Path only a 10 minute walk away and beautiful walks can be enjoyed along the Yealm Estuary, with stunning views across Newton Ferrers. Just four miles from The Old Engine House is the famous Mothecombe Beach, as featured in Sense & Sensibility and more recently My Cousin Rachel. It provides excellent bathing areas for not just people, but also dogs and at low tide you can walk across the Erme estuary to Wonwell Beach- not forgetting the Schoolhouse, serving delicious, locally sourced food. The twin villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo enjoy a delightful riverside setting on the wooded slopes of the estuary of the River Yealm. A haven for boat lovers, kayakers and paddle boarders. At low tide it is possible to cross the river from Noss Mayo over to Newton Ferrers, on foot. There are two fantastic, waterside pubs in Noss Mayo and an art gallery.

Bathroom: Bath with electric shower over and hand held shower, basin, w.c, heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1: King Size bed (5'), chest of drawers, wardrobe.

GARDEN & PARKING: Gravel area in front of the cottage with garden bench. Shared landscaped gardens, 1.5 acres, picnic and barbeque area. Shared tennis court, laundry and games room. Parking for two cars in shared, private car park.

Pets: Maximum 1 Pet; £25 per Pet per week. Your dog must be kept on a lead within the grounds of Rowden Court.
Power and Heat: Heating Electricity included in rent. Storage heaters and plug-in electric heaters provided.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).
Baby Equipment: Travel cot and high chair provided.
