Host (James) was really nice and welcoming. I had a single room with its own bathroom which was perfect and clean - it had everything - tv, shower sink and toilet - a small built in wardrobe to hang clothes, a desk and chair and a bed with a bedside table. There was a good selection of teas and coffees and was given fresh milk for the room on arrival. Location was a short 10-15 minute walk into the city centre and its even closer to the seafront (hoe). Would definately stay again. Thanks James

Very pleasant one night stay whilst in Plymouth for a theatre trip. The single room I took has all you need - comfy bed, TV, tea & coffee, ensuite shower. Good choice for breakfast - fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc. as well as full English options. Pretty close to Plymouth How and to the city centre, both in easy walking distance. Service was welcoming and helpful, especially when I had trouble locating the nearby car park. Will stay here again when in the area next.

Was a very straightforward, smooth check-in & the single room was spacious, superbly furnished & maintained. Great location within walking distance to everything you might be looking for. James and Marie are very kind and the inclusive breakfast was more than welcome after days on the road. Would recommend this accomodation to anybody visiting Plymouth.

What a find!
The host couple were fantastic, very accommodating , helpful, parking outside was easy, local knowledge helped re restaurants and coffee/cake and ice cream and the included breakfast one of the best I’ve ever had!

If you want to experience a quaint British stay, The Mariner's is a wonderful place. Marie and James are the most incredible hosts. They are friendly and so helpful. Our room (with an ensuite) was located on the top floor of this cute victorian seaside rowhouse. James showed his galiant strength by carrying my luggage all the way up to the third floor. God love him. Our toom was clean, spacious and had a lovely English charm. The ensuite is updated with modern amenties. James also does double duty as chef for our morning meal. With Marie acting as host and serve, the two serve wonderful breakfast options from a traditional English breakfast to the today's fashionable egg/avocado toast. Vegetarian breakfast options are also offered. The location is ideal and is in walking distance to the harbour, shops and pubs/restaurants. Overall our 4 day stay was extremely positive and very enjoyable. We highly recommend The Mariner's for your next stay in Plymouth.
