The Neighborhood:
The house is situated on a quiet road in pretty Peverell, with Plymouth’s largest park, Central Park only a few minutes walk away. It’s location enables you to have the best of both worlds - enjoy the city’s hustle and bustle, whilst also being in a peaceful neighbourhood. The town centre is only a 5-10 minute drive away or a 25-30 minute walk.
Plymouth is known as Britain's "ocean city"- home to breathtaking views with plenty to see and do. In the centre of town, you will find Drake Circus, the large shopping centre. Whilst further south you will discover Plymouth Hoe. With stunning views, it’s the perfect place to spend a sunny day, enjoying a picnic on the grass or taking a dip in the art deco Tinside Lido (open during the summer months).
Turnchapel and Mount Batten are just 20 minutes' drive away, boasting fantastic watersports activities and water-side pubs. Enjoy SUP and kayaking lessons with views looking out towards Plymouth’s historic Barbican area, the Hoe and across to Mount Edgcumbe. It is perfectly situated on the tidal estuary of The Sound, making it an ideal, and safe, location for people of all ages. The Mount Batten Ferry operates 365 days a year - making it a fantastic mode of transport to Plymouth from the house (plus you can avoid finding city parking!)
Plymouth is also well positioned for exploring further afield. For example, the wild hills of Dartmoor are on the outskirts of the city and can be reached in 15-20 minutes drive. The Tamar Valley AONB is also a similar distance. Both of which are awash with hikes, mountain biking, road biking and many other outdoor activities.
