"The listing did not make it clear that the property is a residence and the owner is living there, we thought we were renting a tiny cottage but in fact it was just a room and use of shared facilities. However it was pleasant and the owner was very friendly and overall a good stay."

"Our young receptionist (jeane fille, tre joile - wish we knew her name) was very professional and welcoming. She personally introduced the main areas of the hotel and locale and escorted us to our room where she explained the facilities. You could not wish for a better reception. "The hotel is well located, just off the beach, walking distance to some front water view restaurants, great hiking trail, and a fairly short walk uphill to the city center. The rooms are cute-ish and comfortable."

"Lovely hotel right on the beach, amazing amenities, beautiful spacious rooms, great spa, good restaurants (but book in advance). Be prepared that most staff /people in the area don't speak good English, but they are super nice and friendly and will do their best to understand broken French :). Highly recommend booking restaurants in the area (especially highly rated ones) in advance."

"Great French seaside hotel. We had a sea view suite which had a shared deck looking out over the gardens and the sea. Hotel immaculate and great breakfast. Gardens are really pretty and a convenient location to walk into town for supper. Carpark and electric hookup. Would return. We walked along to coast path to see the pink granite rocks. "

"The hotel is nice and being under improvement which always comes with some minor issues (fresh paint smell and dust) we asked for a better dusting but didn't get it. Amenities are noce modern and functional, breakfast is good with round the clock service. Great bang for your buck. "

"Very friendly reception staff on arrival and at breakfast. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental. Very good choice with fruit, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, bread, pastries and muesli. Very pleasant stay. "

"I’ve been coming to Le Brittany since I was a little girl, and although the hotel has changed a lot, what’s not changed is the friendly welcome you always get from the staff. The hotel is very close to the ferry port so it’s a perfect place to stay if you arrive late from the ferry or have an early departure. It’s a great base to explore Roscoff from and it’s easy to stroll into the town from the hotel. One of my highlights is the buffet breakfast, so many local delights to try! "

"We have been staying in 4 star hotels on our trip and so I thought it’s time for my young family to see what differences 2 stars made- to be honest despite the “ luxury” differences this was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful. The Italian restaurant around the corner was also a very delightful surprise. "

Sadly, the Nest did not live up to its description and the owner was less than hospitable. There was no satellite TV. She told us it had broken that week.
