The gite sits between what used to be two farmhouses, all built from granite with oak beams, the first house believed to date back to before the 17th century. The Gite was originally housing for the animals, and faces what was originally old granite stables. The Gite has recently benefited from updating, with a new kitchen, gas hob, electric oven and fridge. It is tastefully furnished in a traditional French farmhouse style, & has solid antique beds, exposed beams & plenty of character. As the walls are thick granite, the Gite stays nice & comparatively cool on very hot days. The balcony terrace to the front is the perfect place to sit & enjoy breakfast, lunch or supper, as the whole property faces south & benefits from day long sunshine. There is a private garden for the gite, which is shown in the photos. There is also a patio with wooden table and chairs and sunbeds. There are 2 grand Cypress trees at the entrance of the drive, which leads out to the main paddock area, beyond that mature oaks lead down the hill to the tranquil river.
