"This is a beautiful hotel with an interesting and long history. The breakfast was absolutely the best you could ever wish for. The room was upscale, clean and comfortable. The staff all spoke English and were very professional. The only negative was a neighboring disco party that went to 1 o’clock in the morning we could hear the music in our room. I don’t think that’s the fault of the hotel, but it’s something to be aware of."

"I was misled by the drone photo of the property. There is an industrial zone between the property and the ocean. The room door was like a safe door, heavy with a 4-pronged bolt. It hinted that the area needed extra safety precautions."

"This grand old lady sits in an ideal part of town. Her walls i am sure could tell many a tale. Ours was that we had a great stay. The room was spotless, modern and comfy. Meals are served in what i suspect is the original ballroom. Faded grandeur applies here. Some of the other public areas are showing some age. Breakfast was amazing. We also had the evening buffet that was very good and exceptional value. Everyone we met from the staff was helpful and cheerful. Couldn't ask for anything more apart from perhaps a pool which it doesn't have."
