Paradise on Paradise Street!

This was a beautiful house in an incredible location. We were so happy with the ocean here - we traveled with young children and the waves were very calm and the water was warm and shallow. Renee provided pool floats and noodles, as well as a kayak and stand-up paddle boards. The location was perfect - we could walk to everything but still had a very private, very quiet beachfront. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was tons of bug spray, sunscreen, medicine, kitchen supplies - everything you could need. We were very happy here!

Fantastic home right on the beach.

This was our second trip to Belize with our young adult children. The house was awesome and was just as advertised. The views from the expansive back deck were amazing. The master bath has an outdoor shower which was one of our favorite features. The property managers are wonderful and provided us with a home cooked meal, complete with a freshly baked pie, on our first night. The home was equipped with everything we needed for the 9 days we stayed. I would highly recommend the White House.

The property exceeded all expectations. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained. The owners have thought of everything and supplied the house superbly and also left us a lovely welcome gift.

What a view!!!

We stayed at the “White House” for a week and loved it. The view of the beach and ocean is truly spectacular and we really enjoyed the wonderful breezes off the water. The house is well built and furnished with an organized and well equipped kitchen. Check in was easy. We will definitely be back.

Paradise

This is our 5th or 6th tine to stay at the White House. How appropriate it is located on Paradise Street as it is truly Paradise! The owners, Kirsten and Per, are amazing! The best hosts! Their property manager, Eduardo is excellent, always available when we needed anything. Highly recommend. The White House deserves 10 stars!

Perfection in Placencia

My wife and I decided to take our moms to Belize and found The White House online. The listing made it look like the perfect place -- near enough to walk to everything, but far enough from it to be quiet. After booking, things only got better. The owners are not only super communicative, they go well out of their way to make sure your entire trip is stress free. Renting a car and driving from Belize City? Their step-by-step instructions, complete with interesting sights to see called out by mile marker, is just one example of how easy they make it. They also had a cute, useful, and tasty welcome gift. The house itself is amazing. And, yes, the location is perfect. Beach out front. Grocery at the head of the road. Three minute walk to Placencia Beach Club and fifteen minute walk to the municipal pier via the sidewalk. Though, honestly, we could have stayed on the veranda the entire trip. Oh, and be sure to book at least one night with Monique, the chef who will come to the house and cook for you. We're already thinking of returning to The White House.

Perfect location with everything you could ever want!

Our family had its first time experience in Placencia staying at the White House and it was fantastic! When we first arrived, the weather was perfect and the water was warm and beautiful. We all enjoyed a swim! Even as the weather deteriorated throughout our stay, we continue to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The longer we stayed, the more we realized we had the perfect spot in Placencia Village. We never even had to rent a car or golf cart! We could walk everywhere! Also, a huge convenience that was not common to many rentals is that we could drink the water in the house! That made our stay so much more relaxing. The people and the food were fantastic but for one unfortunate experience buying fish from a woman named Brenda at the pier. We had tummy troubles after that, but in speaking to our caretaker, Nick, just before we left, she is notorious for selling unsafe fish. Beyond that, everything was amazing! We especially loved the Pickled Parrot on trivia night and Rumfish for lunch. You MUST have the lion fish carpaccio at Rumfish! The people were so friendly. And Kirstin was so helpful and responsive! There is no place better to stay than the White House in Placencia!

Tropical Peace and Paradise

We had a wonderful stay at the White House! The house is clean, comfortable and in the perfect location. Its private sand area and beach front location is perfect to hang out for the day. Easy to walk along the beach to the center of town or walk the other way for a nice sandy stroll. Monique cooked for us several times and she knows the local cuisine well! I highly recommend some meals at the house. Eduardo, the property manager, was friendly and helpful. You always feel there’s someone to call if you need them. Priceless for our first time there! I highly recommend this place If you’re looking for a getaway! It’s perfect.

this is the second time i have stayed at the white house. i could not think of a better place to spend my birthday. the house and the views are amazing. kirsten & per the owners were so nice. thank you for the birthday note and cake. anyone who gets a chance to stay here will love every minute .

Exceptional service

The home was extremely clean and well appointed with all of the amenities you could need during the stay. There were also several local snacks and beverages on the counter and in the refrigerator for us upon arrival. There was also a local cell phone there which we carried whenever we traveled to the local attractions she recommended. We never needed it but it provided great peice of mind. The owner kept in contact in the week's leading up to the trip and notified us whenever COVID requirements changed.

This was our 4th time to stay at the White House and as usual it was amazing. Kirsten and Per are wonderful hosts and their on-site staff is superb. I hate to leave another 5-star rating as I think they deserve a 10-star rating! If you want to feel like you are at 'Your" home for a short getaway or long getaway, highly recommend the White House. Fantastic experience

I cant say enough good things about this property and the owners. Everything was taken care of as if we were at a resort. Eduardo was an amazing caretaker and extremely helpful. The owners kept in constant contact with us to ensure simple travel during a difficult time of Covid. We cannot wait to get back. One of our best vacations ever!

Slice of heaven, quiet and comfortable

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Steps from the beach and the Placencia sidewalk, close to grocery stores and a lovely bakery it has everything you need! Absolutely ideal place to stay!

I have been coming to Placencia for 17 years, and The White House was by far my favorite place to stay! The location is ideal, and it is just beautiful! The owners also go out of their way to provide EXCELLENT customer service in a time where even decent customer service is becoming a rare event. The house is filled with every amenity you can think of and even some you can't, but are so happy to see. I cannot wait until our next visit! Thank you for everything, Kirsten!

A Perfect Vacation Home

We spent another week at The White House in early June 2021. Our family, my wife and our two adult children, along with their spouses, had another amazing vacation. After a trip together there in March 2020, we asked our kids if they wanted to try a different place in Belize. They both agreed that this home is perfect and they were anxious to return and explore the Placencia community further. The White House accommodations, hospitality, and location is ideal for a small group who wants to spend time together while also going different directions to enjoy all that Placencia has to offer. The home has an amazing view of the ocean sunrise and a cool breeze all day long. The rooms offer enough space and cool off at night for anyone who wants to listen to the waves while sleeping. The kitchen and supplies are perfectly adequate for meal prep but we chose to enjoy the various restaurants and street vendors in the area. The location allows for simple walks down the famous sidewalk for shopping and dining or using the main street to access numerous shops, excursions, and food. The lack of a pool at the house is no concern as it only takes a few minutes and $5 to enjoy the Beach Club up the shore. The White House really is perfect for us and a home I would be proud to own. Thank you Per and Kirsten for sharing it with our family.

Placencia White House 2.0

This was our second time to the White House and it was just as wonderful as 2019. The owners and property manager are great to work with; very responsive to questions. The property is amazing and their home is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. We had a golf cart, but walked to the Village most days. The people in Placencia are the best and I would highly recommend a visit to the White House. And you better Belize we’ll be back in 2021. Thank you Kirsten for opening your home. It truly is a special place.

The Three L's: Location, Lot and Layout!!

We just returned from a wonderful and restful stay with our teenage children at The White House in Placencia. The photos of this well appointed home don't lie. In fact, you have to see the beach in person to truly appreciate how spectacular the water and other scenery is. Location is perfect - at the end of the "sidewalk" that leads into town, so it is extremely private. Easy walk to the grocery store up a little road, and a nice relaxing walk to the restaurants and stores in town. We browsed some properties farther from town before choosing this one, but we ended up being so happy that we chose something walkable. We did not rent a car while we were there, as the folks running the excursions we booked (scuba and ziplining) were both more than happy to pick us up and bring us back home. So be sure to consider that if you're thinking you need transportation. The lot itself was amazing. The view of the sea and coastline is something you won't get tired of. The landscaping gives you a bit of privacy and a subtle border without sacrificing the view. The chaise lounges on the sand let you take full advantage of the cooling breezes - and there's a nice shady spot if you sunburn like we do. The water was so safe for swimming that we loved it. Even little kiddos can splash in this area. Finally, layout is perfect for a family. We had our side of the house, and the kids had theirs for sleeping. We spent almost all our time in the house on the back porch or in the big living room playing games. Friendly and helpful caretaker lives right next door, and they even have a local cellphone so that you can reach her - or any businesses you might need to reach for day trips, etc. Long review I know, but this really worked out just perfectly for our family. We have a family rule that we never go to the same place twice, because we want to see as much of the world as possible. But we might break it for this place. ;-)

Loved our Stay!

We are two couples in our 50’s visiting our young adult daughters who are working in Central America. This house was perfect for us. It is new and nice, well appointed with everything you need. Location was really good. Both manager and owners were excellent to work with. The absolute best part was the long patio with comfortable lounge chairs and outdoor dining for six. I would absolutely stay again- lovely home!
