I liked the both historical and technophile vibe of the hotel: codes instead of room keys, convenient web app, minimal staff. One minor downside: no pool or gym. There are homeless people around the neighboring church, they are peaceful though.

This is a remodeled YMCA (I believe) and has such a cool vibe! While the check in process is virtual only, it is very convenient and they are very responsive if you do have questions. Additionally, there is someone onsite at the front desk if you need anything. I was worried about safety initially (with virtually check in process) but have stayed there three times now and it’s actually great!!

Eclectic type Hotel. Perfect for a brief stay. Very quiet and conveniently located. Staff very responsive. Beds extremely comfortable. Not a5 star resort, but perfect for a Pittsburgh stay.

We had a great stay at the Maverick by Kasa. Our room was super comfortable with lots of windows and seating areas. Perfect for a 5 day stay. It was Christmas week so the neighborhood was not so busy but we got a good feel for the neighborhood. The location was great for all the places we wanted to check out. We will stay there again.
