"We rarely stay in pubs (particularly not on a Saturday night). This venue was exceptional, had clearly been refurbished recently (smell of fresh paint). Good to see locals in the bar, who welcomed us ahead of hotel staff. Room was clean and well appointed. We ate in restaurant in evening - food and service were both excellent (although portion size was HUGE !!!). Breakfast good in morning."

"Great welcome here and well-equipped room. Very helpful and caring hosts make you feel "at home". Location is perfect ... on the edge of town, opposite the museum, and an easy walk to many restaurants and shops, including great fish and chips at Whites. Room 3, however, is better for one than two, having limited space around the bed and a lock, unlock, lock, unlock precess to use the bathroom down the corridor. Bathroom is not serviced during visit. The "quilt" is unusually heavy and firm."

"Grounds and buildings are simply beautiful. Renovated very tastefully and everything you need. Jenni is a truly lovely person and as a host was just fantastic. She went above and beyond for our stay. We booked accomodation for bridal party for the night before wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for Jenni even ensuring we were topped with refreshments while getting ready for the wedding.
