"Pre-arrival email communication very good. On arrival, don’t follow map directions from app: they took us to train station (Casale Etrusco, to use name of establishment, is located at beginning of Via della Badia, just north of Donoratico, at km 266.15 on Vecchia Aurelia). No response on mobile number provided. Apartment clean but could be freshened up. Good wardrobe space in main bedroom. Beds reasonably comfortable and quality linen and towels, with complete clean set after 5 days. Kitchen...

"This was a real gem. I had a single room but the bed was bigger than a regular single bed and was very comfy too. The facilities in the room were excellent and classy, including a shower that had a fine array of options and was switched on by a remote control, a first for me! Breakfast was in a lovely room and the table settings were, again, very classy. The host was gracious and accommodating including setting breakfast for me early on the day I left. All in all, I recommend highly."

"An amazing building, a modern renovation respectful of its past. Patricia was a patient and attentive host who went out of her way to please. You need to be fit to climb the stairs but it’s all part of sharing in the heritage of this building/school/home. The town is small and has the characteristic steep lanes. We’d recommend finding a spot the locals gather and getting to know a bit about life from their perspective. We’ll be recommending this one to our friends. "

"Accueil déplorable, trois mots et vite vite il a fallu payer, la carte ne passant pas en mode scan, la personne s'est agacée en disant qu'il n'y avait pas d'argent dessus alors qu'il suffisait de l'insérer, de plus elle a été très incorrect avec notre enfant qui courait pour se dégourdir les jambes jusqu'à la chambre en souriant, en lui disant plusieurs fois doucement et en levant les yeux au ciel. Jamais nous n'avons été accueilli de la sorte quelque part, une fois le règlement fait elle s'est...
