"This was resort property of vintage cabins in a fairly remote area, very DIY and not a lot of amenities... which was perfect for us. No restaurants nearby, but the cabins had kitchens, and the lodge had a bar with a small menu of bar food (pizzas, fries, nachos). The couple who staffed the lodge were very friendly and helpful, and the locals we met were very nice! "

"Very well-appointed, comfortable cabin. Kitchen has many conveniences and well-stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances (crock-pot, blender, mixer, I even used a bread maker). Comfortable beds with amply pillows and good linens. Good water pressure in the showers, good linens. Big, family-friendly lawn area with fish cleaning shack and play set and trampoline. Dock has electricity and a boat sling. Plenty of parking. My only two knows on the property are the lack of a cabin manual (how to turn on/off heat, where supplies are, where are local amenities) and a fly issue. The flies were unusually numerous inside the cabin and on the ceiling of the wrap-around porch. Not sure if this is a Fall season anomaly. "

"Our trip to Julian’s Cabin was amazing. We stayed on the Thieves’ Den. The beach was perfect for my kids with a very shallow entry. We took the canoes out for a bit as well. My children turned into fish during the week when we weren’t exploring the surrounding trails. Judy is an excellent host. The cabin is complete with everything you possibly could need and Judy is just one cabin over if you ever have a problem or question. While the cabin itself is small, there is plenty of outdoor space and honestly, you're not going to want to spend your time indoors when the lake, the two decks, the patio, and plenty of shady green space is beckoning. You really feel like you a part of nature. We saw plenty of deer along the roadsides and my kids had a fantastic time watching the red squirrels eat acorns. If you want a quiet stay with plenty of nature this is the place to book. You are within 30-60 minute drives of plenty of hiking and other points of interest. We explored everywhere and still found ourselves eager to get back to the cabin to enjoy the space. "
