"Trophy house is a very cool place for a guy or a couple. As a 65 yr old woman alone it was kinda spooky. It’s connected to a big house that was empty and above a sort of reception hall, also empty. Across the driveway/parking space is a half built structure that looks like it’s going to stay that way. The pool is (or was for me in mid June) murky, algae, old and not useable. "This house is so beautiful! We loved everything about our stay. The owners/host were so helpful and friendly. They checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed including good pots and pans. The beds were comfortable. The couches were comfortable. The paper products were very nice. The backyard was a dream backyard-we had so much fun. And the dogs loved it. ! We can’t wait to come back"

"I had a wonderful week-long stay at this farmhouse in McKinney. The house sits on almost 80 acres of beautiful pastures with around 30 cows and bulls (my count at the time) roaming freely in them. Kali the cat roams in and out of the house and is very affectionate and friendly. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, and yet downtown McKinney is a short drive (10-15 minutes) away. I would certainly stay here again."

"This is a very remote and quiet hotel with a potential gold mine of a location. They are doing some additions which could make this even more beautiful. I wish they would. Clear some more of the brush that blocks a lot of the lake view. It’s very nice as is but could be breathtaking if they did more clearing. "

"For my needs it was excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was dated and a little worn, but it was very clean. The shower worked great. No issues with hot water. The beds were worn-out, but clean. I had no issues sleeping during the day, the room was well insulated. The a/c worked great."
