"We have been to Caserta before, this was just an overnight stop before catching a flight from Naples Airport. This is a really excellent hotel in all respects. It is two minutes from the station. The accommodation was spectacular. The food (breakfast) was all top quality with a wide range available. Staff were especially helpful and friendly. Really good value for money. Caserta is a great place to visit, and the Palazzo Reale with its garden is totally exceptional. This hotel is definitely the best place to stay for a break of journey or for a longer stay, wholeheartedly recommended. There are direct bus connections to Naples Airport, and the railway station is a stop on the mainline between Rome and Bari. Don't miss Caserta, and definitely stay at the Hotel Royal. "

"This is a beautiful hotel in olive groves. It’s very romantic and the staff go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is a very good buffet and the evening meals are delicious. It wasn’t very busy during the week but got busier at weekends. Easy to catch the train into Naples, about 1 1/4 hours for the airport. lovely area to explore"

"Beautiful property. Lovely staff, particularly Alfredo in the bar. Sadly, the food was not to our taste. We ate in the dining room twice, our first meal was poor - seafood pasta gooey and overly fishy. Seabream so salty almost inedible. Our second meal was much better, spectacular lamb and pulled pork. Regardless, we enjoyed our experience but would suggest servers do a quality check on the meals. "

"This hotel was great! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we were extremely happy with our stay. There was also plenty of off-street parking, which was great. The street right outside the hotel is pretty busy, and there are a lot of potholes. It's not something the hotel has any control over, but it's something to keep in mind if you're not used to driving in that area. The area is not walkable, so you will likely have to drive to dining options, but there are plenty of delicious restaurants close by. Great hotel!"

"Area around the hotel is a bit run down and industrial. The whole town is attempting a rebound from 19th century glory days and it hasn’t quite succeeded yet. "
