"After seeing mixed reviews I had been concerned but for the price we paid this place is amazing. We were lucky to have been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt, which I would book first time if we came again as see that the one bed would be small for 4. It had everything we needed (except a fan)
Like everyone else who stayed whilst the weather was around 35 degrees, we struggled with the heat and no air con, had to sleep with the bedroom door open (we had a ground floor apartment but it felt safe). It would have been nice if they could have provided fans."

"We’ve just spent a week at Hôtel Au Relais Saint Maurice, and it was a real highlight of our holiday. The hotel is a beautiful old house, full of character and history stretching back hundreds of years. Maurice, the owner, is absolutely dedicated to the place and to his guests – nothing is too much trouble, and his care shows in every detail. Breakfast was a real treat each morning, with homemade food and an incredible range of choices, all served in the peaceful courtyard or the amazing dining room. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the whole atmosphere is warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. During a week when temperatures reached the high thirties, the air conditioning in the rooms was a blessing. It’s a hotel run with real heart and pride, and we couldn’t have asked for a better base for our time in Chinon. Highly recommended."

"We loved Marie’s home. It had everything thing we needed. Plenty of space and beautifully decorated. Everything is within walking distance so mornings were a quick walk to the boulangerie, and Marie has stocked the kitchen with everything you could need to cook a meal at home. There are also many places to see and eat within a 10-15 min walk. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, just in case stairs might be an issue for someone. We would love to stay in her home again. "
