"Very friendly staff and good location - would request a lake view room next time, as the road is quite noisy at night. Buffet breakfast is excellent and caters for all tastes, with quick service on hot drinks too, so no losing time waiting around. Dinner is good value and great quality, but the menu is limited in scope - there are plenty of restaurants within a 20 minutes walk though. Excellent spa shower and comfortable room. Plenty of sockets in useful locations for charging phones etc. There is a fridge in the room, so you can chill your own drinks, rather than an expensive mini bar too! Great location with buses to Arona and Orta etc. less than a 5 minute walk. Carciano is just over 5 minutes with frequent ferries to the islands or further afield. The train station is around 15-20 minutes walk, but was closed for maintenance while we were there."

"We were recommended to the Grand Dino by friends, and they were right. The reception desk was staffed with the most knowledgeable and patient people; we asked them everything from nearby hiking trails to extra toothpaste, and they always provided excellent service. The daily breakfast worth the price with a great selection of foods and drinks. Although it was a buffet, the chef was kind enough to cook omelettes for us. The rooms were in great condition and super clean. We had no complaints about the room at all. The hotel restaurant, Last Hall, provided great food and service, especially the bread service, pasta, and beef. The pool was well-managed with plenty of towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Don't miss the fountain shows that run every 30 minutes between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM each night. Can’t miss the fountain outside the front entrance. "

"This hotel is very convenient for visiting the islands. It has a lovely pool and gardens. There is a beautiful lakeside walk into the centre. Most rooms overlook the lake."
