"This modern hotel with lovely rooms was great for our 2 night stay. Breakfast each morning was really nice and we ate in the restaurant both evenings which was also lovely. Our first night we were disappointed that the fillet steak on the menu wasn't available and mentioned this to the restaurant manager, who said he'd take care of it and true to his word, the next evening it was available. It was delicious, cooked to perfection. The pool for a hotel this size we felt was maybe a little too small and unfortunately the road to the property is in a poor state of repair which means it's a 30 minute drive from Newcastle itself but because the hotel restaurant was so good, this didn't really impact our stay as we didn't really leave the hotel. We also enjoyed 2 fabulous massages at the hotel spa which we felt were very reasonably priced. Lastly, there are gorgeous views from the property. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"We arrived, the owner refused to open saying Hotels.com never sent her the confirmation. when finally we proved we had paid, we were allowed in after over an hour of sitting outside and the gate was not working. The area was difficult to find and was not in a safe area. The rooms were not as in the pictures, the water was cold. the staff were very unfriendly and inhospitable. The venue was also undergoing renovations and was incredibly dusty and unsafe."
