On it's own, the hotel is fine, nothing special. Mostly clean and pretty modern.
however, where the hotel fails miserably is service.
Here is the summary:
- hotel promised airport pickup. We sent and hotel confirmed flight information. We arrived late (and that is not that unusual) and no ride was waiting.
I called the front desk who hung up in 30 seconds TWICE
we took a taxi (per advice from a driver going to same resort). Front desk spent time arguing that we should pay because we "did not provide flight info" despite me showing them email from them confirming the receipt!
- one of the front desk people tried to tell us because our flight was late (2 hours, not ridiculous) our reservation was not available. Did not even bother checking. Her co-worker checked and magically found it.
- we booked 1 queen bed room, instead received a room with 2 double beds. They later claimed that double bed is their queen bed.
- walked in to the room with sand on the floor, while the rest of the room was mostly clean not sweeping up sand is a bit of a problem
Let's move on to breakfast
- very limited selection, run out of items regularly with people waiting for 20-30 mins for replacements. Nasty oil aftertaste on many food items.
Location is not special. 10-15 minute walk to the beach
Swimming pool is only 70 cm deep, barely to my hip. There is NO safety railing on the back side, just a straight drop 9 stories down. Even a child could lean over and go down.
