Upon arrival we were concerned about the surrounding areas. The place in itself seems safe, but anywhere around there is very sketchy. You have to travel decently far to get to stores/restaurants to feel like you are in a safe place. The room at a quick glance looks clean but the doors were disguising, haven’t been cleaned in a long time, along with deep cleaning. The bedding was not comfortable, very stiff an crunchy.
The biggest thing I would say is that the place is big. you really have no idea what room you are staying in until arrival and that is a big deal as you don’t know where you are in relation to pools, lobby, restaurants… etc. And they say you can call for a golf cart ride, however you can’t if your room phone doesn’t work. The TV’s are old an you wont get Netflix, Hulu etc. The Wi-Fi is spotty, but that seems to be about everywhere around mountains so not their fault. Overall, I would suggest spending a little more for a better resort. If you are wanting to experience downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale, be prepared for a 20/25 min drive or Uber and to go through some sketchy areas.
